Role Description The Senior Mining Engineer will play a key role in integrating mining engineering expertise into MineralAI’s exploration and analysis solutions. This part-time, remote position involves developing and reviewing mine plans, validating geological and mineral classification outputs, and providing technical guidance on resource evaluation and extraction strategies. The role includes collaborating with data science and product teams to refine AI models using real-world mining scenarios, optimizing workflows for coal and other resource operations, and ensuring outputs align with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The Senior Mining Engineer will also contribute to technical documentation, support pilot projects with clients, and advise on best practices for safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Mining Engineering experience, including practical exposure to underground or surface mining operations.
• Candidates should possess Mine Planning skills, covering short-, medium-, and long-term planning, mine design, and scheduling.
• Candidates should possess Analytical Skills for interpreting geological data, production metrics, and AI-generated outputs to support decision-making.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Coal and Coal Mining, including exploration, extraction methods, and relevant safety and environmental standards.
• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related discipline; professional registration or eligibility is an advantage.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and using digital tools for modeling, simulation, or data analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with mine planning software, geospatial tools, or AI-driven analytics platforms is beneficial.
