We are seeking a Senior .NET Full Stack Engineer with 7+ years of experience designing, developing, modernizing, and supporting business-critical enterprise applications. The role requires deep expertise across backend engineering, modern web development, Microsoft Azure, integration, data, DevOps, security, and production operations. The successful candidate will operate as a senior technical authority while remaining actively involved in solution design, coding, troubleshooting, reviews, releases, and operational ownership.
This is not a coordination-only role. The engineer must be capable of independently solving complex technical problems, guiding engineering teams, making sound architecture decisions, and driving applications from requirements through deployment and production stabilization.
In this role, you will
- Architect, design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise-grade full stack applications using the Microsoft technology ecosystem.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across backend services, APIs, user interfaces, integrations, cloud services, data access, and deployment pipelines.
- Translate business and non-functional requirements into scalable solution designs, technical specifications, implementation plans, and working software.
- Design domain-aligned services, reusable components, integration contracts, and resilient data flows using appropriate architectural patterns.
- Drive application modernization from legacy .NET workloads to current .NET and Azure-native services with controlled migration and operational continuity.
- Lead complex troubleshooting across application, UI, API, database, network, cloud, security, and integration layers; perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, secure development practices, API standards, branching strategies, quality gates, observability, and documentation expectations.
- Review code and solution designs, identify scalability and maintainability risks, and coach engineers through technically complex implementations.
- Own CI/CD, release readiness, deployment coordination, post-production validation, rollback planning, and operational handover.
- Partner with product, business, architecture, security, infrastructure, database, QA, DevOps, and support teams to deliver reliable business outcomes.
- Participate in incident, problem, change, and service-request processes with clear ticket ownership and timely stakeholder communication.
- Drive vulnerability remediation, dependency and framework upgrades, patching, certificate and secret management, and Technology Lifecycle Management activities.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical designs, API documentation, runbooks, support procedures, knowledge articles, and release notes.
Work model:
We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a remote position open to qualified applicants in Canada. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs.
Note: The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you’re engaged in, as well as business and client requirements. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.
What you need to have to be considered:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in full stack application engineering, solution design, modernization, maintenance, and production support.
- Advanced hands-on expertise in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, .NET 6/7/8, ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and asynchronous programming.
- Strong experience building modern web applications using React or Angular with TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and reusable component patterns.
- Deep experience designing secure, scalable REST APIs, microservices, background services, and enterprise integration solutions.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure application, integration, security, monitoring, and deployment services.
- Proven technical leadership in architecture, code reviews, engineering standards, performance optimization, production troubleshooting, and mentoring.
- Demonstrated ownership of critical enterprise applications, incidents, defects, releases, vulnerabilities, and technology lifecycle activities.
Senior-Level / Technical Leadership Expectations
- Act as a trusted technical authority for complex .NET solutions and provide clear direction without losing hands-on engineering depth.
- Make pragmatic architecture decisions by balancing scalability, security, maintainability, delivery speed, cost, and operational risk.
- Break down ambiguous or high-complexity work, identify dependencies and risks, and guide teams toward executable technical solutions.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting sessions, and engineering best practices.
- Challenge weak designs constructively, document key decisions, and build alignment across engineering and architecture stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong support-first, customer-focused, and ticket-driven mindset for critical enterprise systems.
These will help you stand out
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, containers, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates and automation using PowerShell or Azure CLI.
- Experience with distributed caching, message brokers, API gateways, resiliency patterns, performance engineering, and high-volume systems.
- Familiarity with SonarQube, SAST/DAST, dependency scanning, observability platforms, and DevSecOps controls.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or another regulated large-enterprise environment.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or DevOps Engineer Expert.
We're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Don't hesitate to apply, even if you only meet the minimum requirements listed. Think about your transferable experiences and unique skills that make you stand out as someone who can bring new and exciting things to this role.
