About Bolt:

Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.

From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.

And we're just getting started.

Why join Bolt?

  • Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.

  • Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.

  • Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.

  • Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.

About the role

We’re looking for a motivated Senior Operations Specialist to join our Bolt Rides team in Madrid. As part of the Fleet and Vehicle domain, you’ll lead and support high-impact fleet initiatives that contribute to the growth of our Rides division.

You will be responsible for fleet growth and engagement through lock-in programs such as car branding and fleet agreements. You’ll define and execute the strategy and playbook to roll out in every city, and own the investment strategy, offers, lead generation, negotiation, deal closing, churn prevention, and forecasting.

The role combines relationship management, performance analytics, operational execution, and acquisition, ensuring engaged fleets and long-term partner success.

This role is a good match if you’re a driven individual with operations experience and proven analytical skills. Sales, account management, or business development experience is not mandatory but a plus. You’re keen to be part of a team that amplifies the success of Bolt Ride-Hailing and supports our ambitious growth and expansion plans.

You will lead and develop a team of two, and will report to a Senior Operations Manager and work cross-functionally with Central Operations, Growth Analytics, Legal and Product teams.
Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Own and execute the car branding strategy across Spain, including city roll-outs, investment decisions, offers, lead generation, negotiations, deal closing, retention, and forecasting.

  • Manage relationships with assigned fleets and drivers as their main point of contact, resolving operational, commercial, and performance-related topics.

  • Analyse fleet, city, cohort, and market performance data; identify root causes and provide clear insights for weekly/monthly reviews and decisions.

  • Own the P&L for a cluster of cities, including forecasts, budget tracking, variance analysis, and actions to improve unit economics.

  • Develop, negotiate, launch, and monitor fleet and driver incentive programmes to improve participation and performance.

  • Lead a small operations team and cross-functional projects, improving processes and using AI tools to automate manual work and scale effective local solutions.

About you

  • You have 3–4+ years of experience in an analytical, commercial, operational, strategy, consulting, or project-leadership role, with a track record of owning outcomes.

  • You are confident engaging customers and partners, pitching ideas, negotiating terms, and closing agreements across in-person, phone, and written communication.

  • You think commercially and strategically, using market, competitor, and performance insights to make decisions aligned with business goals.

  • You are strong in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with BI tools is a plus, and you are curious and confident using AI tools to work more efficiently.

  • You are proactive and comfortable making sound decisions with incomplete information, adapting quickly as circumstances change.

  • You communicate fluently in Spanish and English, can present confidently to senior stakeholders, and hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Why you’ll love it here

  • Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.

  • Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you.

  • Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.

  • Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge.

  • Connect with colleagues at annual company events and smaller team gatherings.

  • Balance flexibility and in-person collaboration with our hybrid model, including at least 12 monthly in-office days.

Some perks may differ depending on your location and role.

At Bolt, using AI daily is a baseline expectation for everyone. If there’s a faster, smarter way to do your work, we expect you to find it. You’re still responsible for the output, so the standard stays high when using AI tools.

Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!
