Christcord Church is a Christ-centered, radically inclusive digital-first church that exists entirely online through Discord and our website. We are a Spirit-led community focused on making disciples, fostering authentic relationships, and creating a welcoming space for those who have been hurt, disconnected, or overlooked by traditional church structures.

Whether someone is deconstructing, rebuilding, or just discovering faith, Christcord is a place where they can grow deeper in Jesus—one thread at a time.

✝️ About the Role

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the role of Senior Pastor. This will be a foundational leadership position and a key spiritual voice for our church as we continue to grow. The Senior Pastor will be responsible for guiding our community theologically and spiritually, in partnership with the Executive Pastor and leadership team.

Please note: As a newly launched church plant, we are currently building our Executive Council. All qualified applicants are being added to a pending pool of interest. Once the council is able to vote, applicants will receive an email invitation to submit a formal Letter of Interest, which will be reviewed by the council as part of the selection process.

🕊️ Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual oversight and shepherding to the Christcord community

• Deliver one sermon or main teaching per week (live or recorded with community engagement)

• Offer pastoral guidance to staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders

• Help shape and uphold doctrinal clarity and theological integrity

• Mentor and advise ministry leaders in discipleship and growth

• Collaborate with the Executive Pastor to cast and implement spiritual vision

• Serve (if possible) as the ministry advisor to the Executive Pastor’s seminary program (practical mentorship only)

🕒 Time Commitment

This role is expected to require approximately 5–10 hours per week, consistent with all executive-level volunteer roles within Christcord Church at this stage of development.

✅ Qualifications

• Ordained or eligible for ordination in a Christian tradition

• Committed to Christ-centered theology and inclusive ministry

• Comfortable with digital platforms (Discord, video, livestream)

• Experienced in pastoral ministry, preaching, and spiritual leadership

• Able to disciple and support others with humility, clarity, and compassion

• Supportive of Christcord’s mission to welcome all, regardless of background, denomination, gender identity, or orientation

• Preferable have a graduate level ministry, divinity, theological, or other degree - PhD or Doctoral level would be great
