Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Playwright Automation Engineer with over 5 years of experience in testing digital products. You’ll have a strong mix of manual and automation testing skills, hands-on experience with at least one major automation framework, and a solid understanding of Agile/Scrum environments. This role is an opportunity to work on meaningful projects that make a difference while being part of a collaborative and inclusive team.

How you'll make an impact

In this role, you’ll design and maintain test strategies for web and mobile products, ensuring they meet the highest standards. You’ll define testing priorities, execute both manual and automated test cases, and conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases. Collaborating with product managers and designers, you’ll clarify requirements and ensure testability. Your work will directly contribute to improving efficiency by introducing new tools and frameworks, and you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality of critical user journeys and workflows.

You’ll also:

  • Communicate quality risks and test results clearly to stakeholders.
  • Participate in incident reviews and contribute to post-mortem action items.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and tools.

About you

Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:

  • Experience: Over 5 years in software testing, including test planning, execution, and defect management. You’ll have expertise in functional test automation, manual test execution, and defect management.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with CI platforms like Azure DevOps or Jenkins, and experience in areas such as exploratory testing, API testing, and accessibility testing.
  • Education: A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. ISTQB certification is a plus.
  • Collaboration: You’re a team player who thrives in Agile environments and can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively.
  • Values: You’re driven, adaptable, and committed to delivering results with integrity.

Join us and help champion The Gallagher Way. Together, we’ll shape the future of digital testing.
