About Beijing Jinqian Consulting

Beijing Jinqian Consulting is an international management consulting firm. We collaborate across the private, public, and social sectors, bringing deep functional and industry expertise combined with broad geopolitical insight. Our mission is to help our clients tackle their most pressing challenges—those that truly matter on a global scale. We work shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients, just as we do with our team. By strengthening leadership and capabilities at every level, we foster internal alignment, uncover real issues, and craft practical, lasting solutions. Our approach empowers clients to take ownership of the process and drive sustainable progress.

Position Overview

We are expanding our expert network and are actively seeking a senior Political & Economic Consultant with deep expertise in Serbian political, governmental, and policymaking affairs. Candidates preferably have relevant work or advisory experience with the current Serbian political environment and the new governing majority, along with a good understanding of and relevant connections to Serbia's core political and institutional networks — with particular emphasis on the Student List (Studentska lista / Student List – Students Are Winning). This is a flexible, project-based, remote role designed for individuals who have held senior positions in relevant government, political advisory, or policy fields, or who possess related advisory experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic counsel on Serbian political developments, policy priorities, government formation processes, institutional relations, and European integration dynamics, with particular focus on the priorities of the Student List and the incoming administration
  • Draw on knowledge of the Serbian political system and related institutions to deliver timely information and support for clients
  • Conduct rapid, high-level analysis of political, legislative, and regulatory developments under the current transition affecting business, investment, institutional engagement, and international cooperation
  • Support clients on Serbia–EU relations, Western Balkans positioning, bilateral economic and political diplomacy, and Serbia's evolving role in regional and European forums
  • Facilitate engagement and dialogue within Serbian political, governmental, and policymaking networks, identifying opportunities for cooperation, especially with Student List representatives and the new governing structures
  • Collaborate with Beijing Jinqian Consulting's global experts on cross-border political, economic, and geopolitical projects involving Serbia

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–4+ years of senior-level or relevant experience in government affairs, political advisory, parliamentary affairs, public policy, institutional relations, or related fields, with a clear focus on Serbia's political and policymaking ecosystem
  • Relevant experience working with or advising Serbian policymakers, government officials, political institutions, or public affairs stakeholders, preferably including relationships linked to the Student List and the new governing majority
  • Deep understanding of the Serbian political system, decision-making processes, government formation dynamics, and the current political transition
  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills in Serbian and English (full professional proficiency required); additional languages a plus
  • Ability to deliver concise, decision-ready insights under tight deadlines in a fully remote environment
