Senior PowerBuilder Developer – Financial Markets

We are currently looking for a Senior PowerBuilder Developer – Financial Markets to join our team.

Required Competencies:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in PowerBuilder development, including PowerScript, DataWindow, and DataStores.

• Strong experience in developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise applications using PowerBuilder.

• Proven experience in Financial Markets projects — mandatory.

• Good understanding of financial instruments and the trade lifecycle.

• Strong experience with relational databases and SQL, including stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving application issues in critical production environments.

• Experience in application support, production deployments, and incident resolution within established SLAs.

• Experience with Git for version control.

• Knowledge of N-tier architectures.

• Experience with code reviews, development best practices, and technical documentation.

• Ability to provide estimates for development and application enhancement activities.

• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, project managers, QA teams, and other technical teams.

• Ability to provide technical guidance to less experienced developers.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• English proficiency at C1 level — mandatory (written and spoken).

Preferred Competencies:

• Experience with recent PowerBuilder versions (2019/2022).

• Experience in application upgrades, migrations, or modernization projects.

• Knowledge of web services and system integrations using REST/SOAP, JSON, and XML.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices.

Work Model:

Lisbon, Portugal — Hybrid (2 days onsite per week).

Gross Monthly Salary Range:

€2,700–€3,000 gross per month.

Note: The compensation package includes applicable components such as fixed salary, variable compensation, meal allowance, remote work allowance, and benefits, according to the employment conditions.
