Role Summary

This role will partner with the Head of Risk and Compliance to embed and strengthen the Compliance Management Framework across the organisation.


The Senior Compliance Manager role provides expertise across broader compliance matters, including privacy, and works closely with stakeholders across the business to strengthen compliance practices, risk awareness and the management of regulatory obligations.


A key focus of the role will be incident management, with responsibility for investigating and analysing incidents to identify underlying issues, trends and potential compliance risks. The role will look beyond the immediate incident to understand root causes and identify opportunities to strengthen controls and prevent recurrence.


Primary (Key) Responsibilities

  • Assessment of risks
  • Conveying terms to advisers and insureds
  • Liaison with third parties immediately involved in the risk contract (doctors, accountants, reinsurers)
  • Liaison with distribution staff
  • Marketing responsibilities -building strong professional partnerships with suppliers / advisers
  • Take ownership of the risk and compliance responsibilities relevant to your role, support a strong risk culture, and understand that risk is everyone’s responsibility

Qualifications Required

  • Diploma of Financial Planning
  • Diploma of Life Insurance
  • ALUCA qualifications
  • Chartered Insurance Institute / Academy of Life Underwriting qualifications
