  • Evaluate the appropriateness and consistency of valuation methodologies across investment portfolios.
  • Coordinate with investment teams, fund administrators, finance departments, and external valuation specialists to obtain relevant information.
  • Prepare detailed valuation reports, investment memoranda, and supporting documentation for internal review.
  • Explain valuation assumptions, methodology choices, uncertainties, and material changes to senior stakeholders.
  • Support quarterly, semiannual, and annual fund valuation processes and financial reporting deadlines.

  • Maintain valuation documentation, model version controls, assumption registers, and audit trails.
  • Monitor relevant accounting standards, valuation guidance, and private capital market practices.

  • Recommend improvements to valuation policies, procedures, model governance, and quality assurance controls.
  • Mentor junior valuation analysts and review their financial models and valuation deliverables.
Qualifications and Experience

  • Significant experience in private equity valuation, transaction advisory, investment banking, corporate finance, or fund valuation.
  • Strong understanding of private equity investment structures, portfolio company valuations, and alternative investment assets.
  • Advanced knowledge of discounted cash flow, comparable company, and precedent transaction valuation methodologies.
  • Experience developing and reviewing complex financial models and valuation analyses.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, capital structures, and business performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of EBITDA adjustments, enterprise value, equity value, net debt, and working capital considerations.
