Senior Engineer – Process Engineer WH/Logistics

Location: Breda, Netherlands

Work Model: Hybrid – minimum 3 days onsite per week.

1. Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to drive process optimization and operational performance within Warehouse and Logistics at a leading pharmaceutical company. The role focuses on improving internal value streams, solving complex operational challenges and implementing data-driven solutions. You will independently manage projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement while supporting colleagues through coaching and knowledge sharing.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Optimize internal value streams and warehouse/logistics processes.

• Analyse complex operational challenges using qualitative and quantitative data.

• Develop and implement new processes, methods and procedures to improve performance.

• Monitor, model and predict process performance using analytical tools.

• Anticipate potential problems and develop practical, sustainable solutions.

• Independently manage multiple projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics.

• Identify business needs and improvement opportunities through strong stakeholder relationships.

• Provide coaching, training and guidance to colleagues and work with subject matter experts.

3. Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a comparable Engineering/Science discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or operational performance improvement.

• At least 2 years of experience in a highly regulated industry (Pharma, Chemistry or Food).

• Experience optimizing internal value streams.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, preferably supported by Six Sigma or Green Belt certification.

• Data-savvy, with expertise in multiple analytical tools.

• Proven project management skills.

• Good understanding of GMP and GDP.

• Knowledge of business processes, operational practices and related disciplines.

Languages

• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

• Dutch language skills are an advantage.
