The Opportunity
Join a global professional services client's digital product team as a Product Designer (UX/UI). You will lead the design of digital products used by thousands of colleagues and clients worldwide, working from discovery through delivery with product managers and engineers. Fully remote, US and Canada business hours, long term contract. The client is building a design bench of multiple designers.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of product design (UX/UI) experience on responsive web products, backed by a strong portfolio of complex applications.
- Proficiency in Figma. You build user flows, wireframes, low fidelity mockups, rapid prototypes, and high fidelity designs for web and mobile.
- Deep understanding of user centered design, information architecture, and interaction patterns. You work from persona needs and can show the line from user need to design decision.
- Hands on research. You run user research and usability testing, including remote studies, run customer reviews, and turn what you learn into design decisions. You also run competitive and industry research.
- The ability to translate product requirements into journey maps, workflows, and design specifications engineers can build from.
- Close partnership with product managers and engineering across the full lifecycle, from concept to launch.
- Independence. You manage several projects at once, prioritize well, and keep moving without being chased.
- Design systems discipline. You design inside the established system and brand guidelines, and you help them evolve.
- A sharp eye for detail: color, typography, consistency, and digital branding.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. You present concepts and rationale clearly to senior stakeholders and advocate for user needs.
- Availability during US and Canada business hours.
What Sets You Apart
- Experience designing insurance products.
- Familiarity with front end concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate better with engineers.
- Skilled use of generative AI and agentic tools, with sound judgment on where they add value and where human expertise matters most.
- Experience contributing to and maintaining design systems.
How We Work
You work inside the process already in place. If you see room to improve it, you suggest it politely and let the team decide. Designs iterate on feedback, user testing, and analytics. We look for people who are humble, hungry, and passionate, who are trustworthy teammates, hold themselves and others to a high standard, and are kind to the people they work with.
