Who We Are
MOXFIVE helps enterprises respond to, recover from, and build resilience against cyber-attacks. Our responders have led many of the most prominent security investigations in the world, from ransomware that takes a business offline to nation-state intrusions. When an attack hits, we work alongside the executives, outside counsel, and insurers who need answers fast and need answers they can defend.
Intelligent Insurer named MOXFIVE Cyber Security Consulting Team of the Year in 2024 and 2025, and Inc. has named us one of its Best Workplaces three times.
We are building an AI investigation platform that puts that frontline experience behind every analyst on a case.
Who You Are
You are an engineer who owns problems from the first conversation to the shipped change. You learn a domain by sitting with the people who work in it, and you turn what you see into software they want to use.
You make product calls without waiting for a spec, and you know when something is ready to ship. You can move from a conversation with an analyst in the morning to a change in production by the end of the day.
The Impact You'll Have
You'll work alongside our forensic analysts and responders, decide what to build for them, and ship it. You own each feature until it works for the people it was built for.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Investigation Experience: Designing and building the interfaces where analysts direct agents, review their findings, and trace each finding back to the evidence behind it.
Product Discovery: Finding where investigations slow down and which problems are worth solving, and testing ideas with working prototypes before committing to them.
Agent Workflows: Turning how experienced responders investigate into agent tools and workflows and partnering with platform engineers on the capabilities underneath.
Product Outcomes: Instrumenting what you ship and using the results to decide what to build next.
Product Direction: Working with product management and engineering leadership to shape the roadmap for the areas you own.
What You'll Bring
Product Ownership: You've owned features from customer problems to production, and you can walk us through something you shipped, why you built it, and what you learned from how people used it.
Full-Stack Engineering: Strong across the stack, from a modern web frontend to backend services in Go or Python, with a track record of shipping production systems.
AI Product Experience: You've built products on LLMs, including tool use, structured output, and the interfaces that let people review and correct what an agent produced. You understand how these systems fail and design for it.
AI-Native Development: You build with coding agents every day and know how to review and verify what they produce.
Interface Craft: You care how a product feels to use, and you can design a clear interface for dense, technical data without waiting on a designer.
Data Fluency: You write queries over large datasets to understand how a feature is used and whether it works.
Communication: You explain trade-offs clearly to analysts, engineers, and executives, in writing and in person.
Nice to Have
Security Domain: Experience building security products, or familiarity with digital forensics, incident response, or security telemetry.
Expert Domains: Experience building for experts in high-stakes fields such as legal, healthcare, or finance.
Early-Stage Experience: You've been an early engineer or founder and taken a product from zero to its first users.
