The Opportunity

Based at the Clayton campus, this Senior Project Coordinator role sits within the Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC), a world leader in injury prevention research and training.
This role presents a genuine opportunity to drive operational support, post-award project delivery, and graduate research administration within a world leader in injury prevention research. Working as part of a collaborative professional team, and closely with research staff, you will act as a key liaison point and subject matter expert across project delivery, graduate research administration, and executive operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating post-award project coordination across research teams including contract administration project invoicing and budgets, maintaining project records in Pure and coordinating project meetings, agendas, and minutes.
- Maintaining central document repositories, project databases, and external communication channels.
- Coordinating graduate research student administration end-to-end, providing procedural advice, managing PhD milestone tracking, and supporting new candidature enquiries.
- Coordinating delivery of Professional Development Education events and programs, and assisting with unit administration.
- Providing high-level executive administrative support to the Director and assisting with day-to-day office operations.
What you'll bring:
- High-level project management skills with a proven track record of successfully supporting projects to completion within agreed standards, timeframes, and budgets.
- Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with experience working to deadlines across multiple teams.
- Strong financial literacy and analytical skills, with experience managing budgets and interpreting project data.
- Highly developed relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively and gain cooperation across varied stakeholder groups.
- Knowledge of (or the ability to quickly develop expertise in) graduate research processes, university policies, and database management systems.
