Blend is a HubSpot Diamond Partner and globally recognised as the leading HubSpot website agency. With 45+ specialists across the UK and US, we partner with ambitious B2B technology companies to build connected revenue systems that fuel long-term growth.
We help organisations transform fragmented go-to-market functions into unified, AI-powered growth engines. Our work spans the full buyer journey – from creating demand through content and brand, to capturing it via websites and search, to converting it through automation and enablement.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead delivery for one of our client pods. You’ll own the delivery plan across every client in the pod, keep work moving against clearly defined milestones, and make sure the team’s time is focused where it creates the most value each week.
You’ll lead the pod in partnership with a Growth Consultant (GC). The GC owns the client relationship, the commercials, and scope decisions. You own delivery – the plan, the capacity, the milestones, the project budget and risk management. Together, you’re accountable for how your clients experience Blend and the growth they achieve with us.
How our pods work
Blend’s delivery is organised into client pods: dedicated, cross-functional teams that each hold a portfolio of clients and are accountable for their outcomes, revenue, and margin. Each pod is led by a GC and a PM, with its own strategy, content, design, and development specialists, and is supported by a shared technical bench for HubSpot and AI implementation, motion, and specialist design.
You’ll report to the Project Delivery Manager (PDM), who leads Blend’s project management practice and supports your performance, development, and progression.
Key responsibilities
Delivery planning
- Own the delivery plan across every client in your pod, built around tightly defined project milestones
- Once a project is approved, shape an agile delivery approach that fits its objectives, budget, and timeline, and build the milestone-based plan in Teamwork.com
- Lead requirements gathering with the GC and specialists, turning the SOW into clear, documented requirements the team can deliver against
- Support GC-led client kick-offs, making sure the delivery team, timeline, and dependencies are clear from day one
- Keep scheduling estimates in Teamwork.com accurate, so the pod’s forward plan can be trusted when committing start dates to new clients
Capacity and the technical bench
- Move capacity between clients week to week, keeping the pod focused on milestone delivery
- Manage forward resource levelling meticulously, so the pod’s workload stays balanced against capacity and milestone commitments
- Work with the wider Project Management Office (PMO) to agree priorities and book technical bench time for the work your clients need
Scope, risk, and escalation
- Protect scope across your pod’s clients, qualifying every request against the SOW before it reaches the team
- Track scope exceptions and raise anything that affects scope, cost, or a client deadline with the GC promptly, setting out the time and cost implications
- Identify delivery risks and dependencies early, and bring them to the GC with recommended solutions
- Make sure the information, access, and assets the team needs are in place before work starts
Quality and launch
- Hold every deliverable to Blend’s quality standards, coordinating reviews, testing, and client sign-off before launch
- Manage go-live and project close, including a clean handover into ongoing support or retained services
- Run post-project reviews with the team, and feed the lessons into how pods deliver
Client communication
- Run a consistent rhythm of delivery calls with every client in your pod – weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, depending on the size of the account
- Keep clients informed on progress, upcoming milestones, and any decisions or inputs needed from them
- Build confident working relationships with senior client stakeholders, and challenge constructively when delivery is at risk
- Work alongside the GC, whose calls focus on the commercial relationship, so clients get one joined-up view of their work
Pod rhythm and reporting
- Help run the weekly pod meeting, covering priorities, blockers, and client updates
- Hold a weekly review with your GC covering scope, risks, margin to date, and the pod scorecard
- Plan each six-week cycle with your pod, setting commitments the team can stand behind
- Track hours planned against hours available and billable hours against budget for each client, and forecast revenue recognition against milestones
- Make sure time is logged accurately against the right clients and pods, including bench time
- Identify ways to improve how pods deliver, and share what works with the PDM
Pod focus
- Set clear direction and expectations for the specialists in your pod, so everyone knows what they own and when it’s due
- Coach and support less experienced PMs and delivery team members, sharing good practice across the PMO
How we’ll measure success
Every pod reports a small set of measures each week. As Senior Project Manager, you’ll own the delivery measures and the contribution margin of the completed work.
Measure / What it tracks
- On-time delivery // Milestones met against milestones planned
- Recognised revenue // Value of work delivered and recognised against milestones
- Forward capacity // Hours available against hours planned over the next six weeks
- Scope control // Scope exceptions tracked and raised to the GC
- Contribution margin // Operating profit generated by the pod
How you’ll think and work
Beyond technical skills, we’re looking for a particular way of operating. These behaviours reflect our values and what success looks like in this role.
Delivery discipline
You bring structure to a portfolio of clients – clear plans, accurate data, and no loose ends
- You plan to milestones and outcomes, not just task lists
- You notice the detail others miss, without losing sight of the bigger picture
Commercial awareness
- You understand that every hour has a cost, and you protect pod margin as carefully as quality
- You raise scope, budget, timing, and capacity conversations early and clearly
- You see how day-to-day delivery decisions shape your pod’s commercial results
Ownership and judgement
- You get ahead of problems rather than reacting to them
- You make sound calls on priorities within the pod, and know when a decision belongs with the GC
- You resolve competing demands with other PMs constructively, with the wider business in mind
- You lead by example, setting the standard for how delivery runs across your pod
Empathy
- You read client dynamics and navigate tricky conversations with care
- You build trust quickly through genuine curiosity and attentive listening
- You challenge constructively with care for the audience
AI fluency
- You’re skilled at prompting – asking better questions of both AI systems and humans to extract useful insights
- You practise data sensemaking – interpreting AI outputs and contextualising them for decisions
- You embrace augmentation – automating routine tasks and configuring AI projects to elevate the quality of your work
- You adapt quickly – experimenting with new tools and approaches as the landscape shifts
What you bring
- Five or more years’ project management experience, including time at a senior level in a B2B, digital, business consulting, or marketing agency
- A track record of leading multiple concurrent client projects to agreed milestones, on time, in scope, and on budget
- Experience shaping and running agile or hybrid delivery approaches for web, CRM, or marketing technology projects
- Confidence managing capacity and resource planning across a shared, cross-functional team
- Strong commercial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, and change control
- Credibility with senior client stakeholders, and the confidence to influence and challenge
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Advanced use of project management tools (Teamwork.com or similar)
- Proven experience applying AI and automation to enhance workflows
Desirable
- Experience working in a pod, squad, or similar cross-functional team model
- Experience mentoring or line-managing project managers
- Experience delivering HubSpot website and implementation projects
- Experience working with US clients across time zones
- HubSpot certifications
- A recognised project management qualification (for example, PMP, ISO, APM, PRINCE2, or Scrum)
Why Blend
- Work with leading B2B brands across high-tech manufacturing, fintech, and cyber
- Exposure to advanced HubSpot implementations, AEO strategies, and RevOps
- Collaborative environment with 45+ professionals across the UK and US
- Hybrid working from our Reading office: 3 days in-office for collaboration, 2 days remote for focused work
- 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by one day for each year of service (up to 28 days total)
- Professional development support, including HubSpot certifications and training
- Shape processes and contribute to growth
We look forward to hearing from you.
