One of our clients is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the development of new enterprise technology solutions, strategic client engagements, and large-scale technology initiatives for major organizations in Japan.

This is a senior business and technology position combining solution planning, business development, strategic account management, proposal leadership, and project delivery.

The role is particularly focused on major clients within the financial industry, including megabanks, regional banks, and insurance companies, while also covering industries such as telecommunications, public sector, and manufacturing.

• The position offers a flexible hybrid work style (3 times / week remotely).

About the Position

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and transforming complex enterprise technology requirements into commercially viable solutions.

You will work closely with major enterprise accounts, particularly within banking and financial services, to identify new opportunities and expand existing client relationships.

The role goes beyond traditional project management.

You will participate from the earliest stages of solution planning and business development, lead complex proposal activities, coordinate internal engineers and external partners, and support project delivery after contracts are awarded.

You will also bring client and market requirements back to the engineering organization, helping influence future technology roadmaps and product development.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and lead new business and technology solutions in areas such as Data & Analytics, Cybersecurity, and Public Cloud

Develop managed-service offerings based on emerging enterprise technology requirements

Identify and develop new opportunities within strategic enterprise accounts

Expand existing client relationships into new technology and business areas

Work with major clients across banking, insurance, telecommunications, public sector, and manufacturing

Lead proposal activities for large-scale and complex technology projects

Manage proposal teams consisting of internal engineers, external partners, and other stakeholders

Coordinate teams of approximately 15 members or more during major proposal initiatives

Support RFI and RFP preparation and response activities

Support vendor selection and vendor management

Participate in upstream project phases after contract award

Support project execution and governance through PMO activities

Work closely with engineering teams to evaluate technical solutions and feasibility

Provide client and market feedback to internal engineering teams

Contribute to technology roadmaps and future product or solution development

Must Have

10+ years of professional experience in solution sales, solution planning, or business development within the IT industry

Strong knowledge and professional network within the financial industry, particularly:

Experience participating in PMO or upstream phases of large-scale projects

Experience working with enterprise clients outside financial services, including telecommunications, public sector, and manufacturing

Knowledge or proposal experience involving AWS, GCP, or Azure

Business-level English for collaboration with international teams
