Senior PV Design Engineer

Position: Senior PV Design Engineer (Utility-Scale Solar) Location: EU countries, remote (EU-based candidates only) Work format: Freelance / B2B Contract / On-demand We have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior PV Design Engineer to join international utility-scale solar projects for a flexible, project-based collaboration. To support the growing project pipeline of our Partner, we are looking for a Senior PV Design Engineer who can independently contribute to the full design lifecycle of utility-scale solar projects and support technical excellence across multiple project stages in different EU countries, the UK and the MENA region. Scope of Work: Develop and optimise PV system designs for ground-mounted utility-scale solar projects Perform detailed modelling and simulations to support project development Analyse technical documentation and propose design improvements Support technical due diligence processes Contribute to performance optimisation of PV systems Collaborate with engineering teams on: - Layout design - Electrical systems - Overall system performance Core Technical Requirements: PVcase GM PVsyst Experience with ground-mounted PV systems Electrical & Modelling (LV/MV AC systems): - ETAP or EA-PSM - Earthing design - Protection systems - AutoCAD Must-Have Experience: Proven track record in utility-scale solar PV design Strong technical and analytical skills Ability to work independently and deliver results remotely Nice-to-Have (Advantages): Experience working on international solar projects Exposure to technical due diligence or lender's engineering Familiarity with performance optimisation / yield improvement Broader understanding of grid integration or BESS Experience collaborating in multinational / distributed teams If you are an experienced PV Design Engineer looking for a flexible, project-based collaboration in the renewable energy sector, please send your CV to [email protected] with the subject line "Senior PV Design Engineer", and our Recruitment Consultants will provide you with more detailed information about the role.
