Job Title: Senior RTL Design Engineer (Fully Remote Contract Role - EU/UK)About Us

We are an innovative, fast-growing semiconductor and hardware engineering pioneer building the foundational architecture for next-generation computing. We believe that great engineering isn't bound by office walls. We are scaling our distributed engineering organization and looking for a passionate Senior RTL Design Engineer to join us remotely on contract basis.

If you are based anywhere in the European Union (EU) or the United Kingdom (UK) and want to drive high-performance, low-power digital designs from micro-architecture to silicon, we want to hear from you!

Job Description

As an RTL Design Engineer, you will take ownership of defining micro-architectures, developing clean and maintainable RTL targets for cutting-edge digital integrated circuits. You will work closely across cross-functional teams including architecture, functional verification, synthesis, and physical design to ensure a seamless path from code to tape-out.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Micro-Architecture & Design: Translate architectural specifications into robust, scalable, and high-performance micro-architectures and RTL code (Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with the verification team to debug RTL issues, build test environments, and guarantee comprehensive design coverage.
  • IP Integration: Handle sub-system or block-level integration, maintaining clean release processes and documentation.
What We’re Looking For (Requirements)
  • Experience: 5+ years (Mid to Senior level) of professional experience in digital front-end design, RTL coding, and complex IP/SoC integration.
  • Technical Stack:
  • Expert fluency in Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
  • Deep understanding of synchronous design principles, clock domain crossing (CDC), and low-power design techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard EDA tools for logic simulation, linting, synthesis, and static timing analysis (STA) (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, or Siemens EDA).
  • Architecture Know-How: Strong background in computer architecture concepts (e.g., high-speed data paths, bus protocols like AMBA/AXI, memory controllers, or custom compute blocks).
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Location Constraint: Must currently reside and have legal authorization to work in the European Union (EU) or the United Kingdom (UK). (Note: This is a 100% remote position, but candidates must be based in these regions for tax and compliance purposes).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent autonomous working habits, proactive problem-solving abilities, and clear technical communication skills in English.
