Senior QA Automation Engineer

Hiring: Senior QA Automation Engineer | Fully Remote

We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join an agribusiness client on a 12-month rolling contract.

• Setup: Fully Remote
• Initial Project Duration: 12 months rolling contract
• Working hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–6:00 PM GMT+4

You’ll own the test strategy, tooling, and quality standards for an agricultural ERP platform spanning a web application, backend APIs, and a React Native mobile field application. This role suits someone who enjoys building automation frameworks and ensuring complex business calculations and permissions are accurate.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain web test automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Automate mobile testing across iOS and Android, including offline capture, synchronization, and real-device behaviour.
• Develop API and integration tests, including role-based access verification.
• Validate business calculations against reference datasets using advanced SQL across PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Manage test data, fixtures, seed scripts, and isolated environments.
• Integrate reliable automated suites into CI/CD pipelines, keeping execution fast and minimizing flaky tests.
• Partner with engineers to improve Vitest coverage and code testability.
• Own defect reporting, triage, release sign-off, and quality reporting.

What we’re looking for:

• At least 5 years of software QA experience, including 3+ years focused primarily on automation.
• Strong TypeScript or JavaScript skills, with experience building frameworks using Playwright or Cypress.
• Hands-on iOS and Android test automation experience.
• Strong API automation and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Docker, version control, and code reviews.
• Experience testing data-intensive ERP, finance, or planning systems where calculations, aggregations, and permissions are critical.
• Confidence defining and explaining a test strategy to technical and business stakeholders.
• Professional written and spoken English.

Agribusiness knowledge, particularly the fresh-fruit chain from orchard to market, and experience with ERP implementations or large-scale business system rollouts would be advantageous.
