Forte Group is looking for Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join an agile team where your responsibility will be to ensure quality by developing and executing functional and non-functional tests for new features and products. Your role will be to serve as a liaison between business and development, ensuring new features match business and user needs. You will regularly participate in project communication, helping the team spot issues and prevent them by analyzing the root cause of defects and their nature. You will be able to influence the development and testing process by raising your concerns and providing your vision and feedback during daily communication and retrospective sessions. The project team consists of a proactive group of people who believe in the idea of cross-functional teams and Agile software development.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of application quality and proactively drive product, process, testability, and tooling improvements that reduce defects.
  • Analyze requirements and product changes, identify risks and gaps, define appropriate testing strategies, and maintain the necessary test documentation.
  • Plan and execute manual functional, integration, system, API, exploratory, regression, and smoke testing across standalone and integrated components.
  • Collaborate with product owners and developers to clarify requirements, investigate issues, and manage defects through their complete lifecycle.
  • Assess release readiness and clearly communicate testing results, coverage gaps, quality risks, and recommendations.
  • Use AI assistants and agents to accelerate test design, test-data preparation, API testing, defect investigation, and reporting while retaining responsibility for validating all generated outputs.
  • Create and maintain purpose-built QA agents, reusable skills, workflows, and lightweight supporting tools.
  • Identify suitable opportunities for automation and collaborate with development and quality engineering teams to implement and maintain them.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Strong ownership, analytical skills, and an outcome-driven quality mindset, with the ability to proactively identify and drive improvements that prevent defects.
  • Experience testing complex, integrated, client-server systems and understanding how system architecture affects behavior, testing scope, and test design.
  • Strong knowledge of QA processes, methodologies, test levels, and test types, with practical experience in functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
  • Experience analyzing requirements and producing well-structured test assets, including test strategies, scenarios, cases, checklists, test data, and traceability.
  • Strong hands-on experience with functional API testing and REST principles, including advanced Postman skills with collections, environments, variables, data-driven execution, Collection Runner, mocking, Flows, authentication, pre-request scripts, assertions, and response validation.
  • Ability to independently design, organize, version, and maintain API test suites and reusable JavaScript-based Postman scripts, as well as review, debug, and correct testing code generated with AI assistance.
  • Understanding of API contracts, schema validation, backward compatibility, authentication, authorization, roles, permissions, and common web and API vulnerabilities.
  • Strong understanding of core web technologies and concepts, including HTTP, DNS, proxies, caching, cookies, and sessions, with experience using browser developer tools and network inspection tools such as Charles Proxy or Fiddler.
  • Working SQL knowledge, including CRUD operations and a foundational understanding of relational database behavior.
  • Ability to read and understand source code sufficiently to investigate system behavior, identify testing implications, and collaborate effectively with developers.
  • Working knowledge of Git and source-control practices for maintaining Postman collections, scripts, agent instructions, skills, and other QA assets.
  • Understanding of agentic concepts, including instructions, prompts, context management, agents, subagents, tools, skills, workflows, orchestration, memory, guardrails, evaluations, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Experience creating or configuring reusable QA agents, skills, tools, or workflows for requirements analysis, test generation, API testing, defect investigation, or reporting.
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated output, identify hallucinations and unsupported assumptions, and recognize missing coverage or unreliable results.
  • Understanding of AI-related security and data-protection risks, including sensitive-data disclosure, prompt injection, unsafe tool execution, and excessive permissions.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with product owners, developers, automation engineers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

Good to have:

  • Experience developing lightweight QA utilities using JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
  • Experience with LLM APIs, function calling, MCP, custom integrations, or agent development frameworks.
  • Experience integrating API tests, QA utilities, or AI-assisted checks into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with centralized logging, observability, or distributed tracing platforms.
  • Experience in sales, CRM, or the golf industry.
