Role Description The Senior Quantity Surveyor is a full-time, hybrid role based in Abuja, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for managing project costs from initial estimates through to final accounts, ensuring value for money while maintaining quality and timelines. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), developing detailed cost plans, monitoring expenditures, and producing accurate cost reports for stakeholders. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to evaluate tenders, negotiate contracts, and manage variations and claims. The role also involves supporting risk assessment, advising on procurement strategies, and contributing to continuous improvement of cost management processes across multiple real estate projects.
Qualifications

• Strong expertise in cost control and cost management, with proven ability to optimize project budgets and manage financial risks.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing, reviewing, and managing BOQ for residential and commercial real estate projects.
• Proficiency in cost planning, including forecasting, budgeting, and lifecycle cost analysis for construction projects.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate, and timely cost reporting for internal management and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional membership or progress toward membership of a recognized quantity surveying or construction body (e.g., NIQS, RICS) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and proficiency in relevant QS and project management software.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in real estate development, particularly in mid to high-end residential or mixed-use projects, is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing priorities both on-site in Abuja and remotely.
