Role Description The Dietitian Specialist is a part-time, remote role focused on providing high-quality nutritional care to clients accessing TherapyMantra’s online mental health services. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting virtual nutritional assessments, developing individualized meal plans, and offering evidence-based nutritional counseling that supports mental and physical well-being. The role involves collaborating with therapists and other healthcare professionals to integrate medical nutrition therapy into overall treatment plans, particularly for clients with conditions such as anxiety, depression, stress-related eating patterns, and chronic health issues. The Dietitian Specialist will provide ongoing monitoring, education, and motivation to help clients achieve sustainable weight management and lifestyle changes. Additional tasks include maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to ethical and regulatory standards, and contributing to educational content or resources that promote holistic wellness. Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong expertise in Dietetics and Medical Nutrition Therapy, with the ability to apply clinical guidelines to diverse client populations.
Candidates should possess skills in Nutritional Counseling and client education, including designing personalized nutrition plans that support mental health and overall wellness.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Weight Management strategies and Nutrition planning, including behavior change techniques and lifestyle coaching.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field; registration or licensure as a dietitian/nutritionist (as applicable to region) is preferred.
Experience providing telehealth or remote counseling services, with strong communication, empathy, and cultural sensitivity in an online environment.
Ability to work independently, manage a part-time remote caseload, maintain detailed records, and use digital tools and platforms securely.
Familiarity with mental health concepts and interdisciplinary care; prior experience collaborating with psychologists or therapists is an advantage.
