Role Description The Microsoft Azure Cloud Instructor will design and deliver high-quality training sessions on Azure cloud services and related technologies to learners at IJAN Africa. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Ikeja, with a combination of on-site classroom instruction and remote preparation, mentoring, and learner support. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing course materials, lesson plans, and lab exercises; teaching live classes; assessing learner progress through assignments, projects, and exams; and providing feedback and guidance to support learner success. The instructor will stay current with Azure updates and best practices, incorporate real-world use cases into the curriculum, and collaborate with the academic team to continuously improve course content. The role also involves occasional workshops, exam preparation sessions for Azure certifications, and contribution to online learning resources.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (e.g., compute, storage, networking, security, DevOps) and practical experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions.
• Experience with cloud-related tools and practices such as virtualization, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring/logging.
• Proven instructional, training, or mentoring experience, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language to learners with diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate interactive classes and support learners individually.
• Ability to develop structured curricula, lesson plans, and hands-on labs that align with industry standards and Azure certification pathways.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a learner-centered approach and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator, Azure Developer, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Ikeja, with reliability in managing both in-person sessions and remote responsibilities.
