The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Radiographer to provide advanced radiographic services, support diagnostic imaging operations, maintain high standards of image quality and radiation safety, and provide technical leadership to radiography teams.
The ideal candidate will combine strong clinical expertise with patient-centered care, technical proficiency, quality awareness, and leadership capability to ensure imaging examinations are performed safely, efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with established clinical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and oversee diagnostic radiographic examinations according to approved clinical protocols.
- Provide high-quality imaging services across relevant modalities within the assigned scope of practice.
- Review imaging requests and confirm appropriate examination requirements before procedures.
- Verify patient identity, clinical information, examination details, and relevant safety requirements.
- Prepare patients appropriately for imaging procedures and explain examinations clearly.
- Obtain relevant clinical history and identify information that may affect imaging procedures.
- Assess patients for contraindications, mobility limitations, pregnancy considerations, allergies, or other relevant risks.

- Adapt imaging techniques appropriately for patients with limited mobility, pain, injury, or other clinical challenges.
- Maintain patient dignity, privacy, comfort, and safety throughout examinations.
- Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Monitor patients during examinations and respond appropriately to changes in condition or distress.
- Escalate clinically significant observations or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professional.
- Ensure images are correctly identified, labeled, processed, and transferred to the appropriate imaging system.
- Review images for positioning, exposure, artifacts, anatomy coverage, and overall technical quality.

- Use appropriate personal protective equipment and radiation-protection devices.
- Monitor radiation exposure and follow established radiation-monitoring requirements.

- Evaluate new radiographic technologies, equipment, software, and imaging techniques.
- Support implementation and validation of new imaging systems and workflows.
- Train, supervise, and mentor junior radiographers, radiography assistants, students, and other imaging personnel.
- Conduct competency assessments and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Deliver training on imaging techniques, patient positioning, radiation safety, infection control, and equipment use.
- Lead or support daily radiography team briefings and operational coordination.
- Assist with workload allocation, examination prioritization, staffing coordination, and service continuity.

The successful candidate should have strong experience in diagnostic radiography, medical imaging, hospital radiology, clinical imaging services, or a related healthcare environment, with experience working across routine and complex imaging examinations.
The candidate should demonstrate:
- Relevant academic qualification in radiography or medical imaging.
- Current professional registration or licensing appropriate to the jurisdiction and scope of practice.
- Proven experience performing diagnostic radiographic examinations.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, exposure techniques, image evaluation, and quality assurance.
- Experience operating modern digital radiography and imaging systems.
- Strong understanding of radiation protection and dose-optimization principles.
- Experience working with PACS, RIS, electronic medical records, and related imaging technologies.
- Strong patient-care and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with trauma, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, elderly, pediatric, and mobility-limited patients where applicable.
