The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take on a varied real estate transactional workload, acting for both occupiers and property owners. The work centers on negotiating and documenting deals, supporting corporate matters with property diligence, and working closely with supervising partners.
What you'll do
- Draft and negotiate leases for retail and office space, acting for tenants and for landlords.
- Handle the documentation and negotiation of property sale and acquisition contracts.
- Support corporate transactions with property-related diligence, including close analysis of title reports and policies.
- Negotiate subordination and non-disturbance agreements and lender consent documents.
- Advise on regulatory and zoning questions and appear at local government hearings when needed.
- Work with colleagues, outside parties and supervising partners to move transactions to a successful close.
What we're looking for
- Six to eight years of experience handling commercial property transactions.
- Current admission to the New York bar in good standing.
- Practical experience with lease work, sale contracts, diligence and title matters.
- Excellent research and writing ability and a strong academic record.
- A steady employment history.
Bonus points
- Background at a large national firm or a comparable practice, or a specialist property boutique with deep sector knowledge.
- Experience acting for both tenants and landlords.
- Experience with subordination agreements and lender consent documents.
- Exposure to zoning, land use and local hearings.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 270,000 to 290,000 per year
