Stratos Wealth Enterprises | Reports to: Lou Camacho, President | Flexible location | Travel up to 50% Position summary At Stratos Wealth Enterprises, we are building a scaled, high-performing, advisor-centric enterprise. We are seeking a Senior Relationship Manager who will serve as the strategic partner to advisory firms where Stratos Wealth Enterprises holds either an outright, majority, or minority ownership interest. The role will manage our most complex enterprise relationships, sitting at the intersection of consulting, operations, and leadership. This role carries real accountability. You will own retention, expansion, integration, and operating performance across a portfolio of strategic, acquired, high-value, and unusually complex firms. You will engage founders, chief executives, senior advisors, and operating leaders to set multi-year direction, then convert that direction into measurable outcomes with clear owners and dates. Success demands the gravitas, judgment, and business acumen to sit across the table from an owner-operator, earn trust quickly, and still challenge them to elevate performance. You will lead through influence rather than authority, align stakeholders across Stratos and our parent company, SEI, and translate enterprise strategy into practical plans that partner firms actually adopt. The role is flexible in location and expects travel up to 50 percent. Key responsibilities Strategic relationship leadership • Own executive-level relationships for an assigned portfolio of strategic, enterprise, acquired, and integration-intensive firms. • Build deep, durable relationships with founders, partners, and senior leadership teams, reducing key-person dependency and broadening sponsorship on both sides of the partnership. • Establish multi-year relationship strategies that align firm priorities, Stratos capabilities, commercial objectives, service commitments, and risk considerations. • Lead executive business reviews with founders, CEOs, and operating leaders, using data to frame decisions, surface risk, and create accountability. • Anticipate retention risk, competitive threats, succession events, leadership change, and service or integration issues, and mobilize a response before value is at risk. • Coordinate with Stratos’ Corporate Development and M&A teams to onboard, integrate, and support new firms joining Stratos Wealth Enterprises. Practice integration and assimilation • Lead post-acquisition integration efforts and ensure seamless onboarding into the Stratos ecosystem. • Partner with firm leadership to align business models, processes, technology, talent, and culture with enterprise standards while protecting what makes each practice distinctive. • Identify integration risk early and implement solutions that accelerate time to value. • Connect integration milestones to relationship goals so onboarding, adoption, and growth advance together rather than sequentially. Commercial growth, value creation, and negotiation • Work directly with partners to develop and execute growth strategies, both organic and inorganic. • Drive initiatives that enhance revenue generation, advisor productivity, and client experience across the portfolio. • Serve as a thought partner on succession planning, talent development, market expansion, and practice economics. • Lead or coordinate complex commercial discussions, scope of decisions, service commitments, and negotiations, partnering with finance, legal, compliance, sales, product, and executive leadership as required. • Balance growth objectives against fiduciary, suitability, conflict-management, compliance, and client-interest considerations, and maintain a clear, data-supported view of relationship economics, pipeline, and forecast. Operational excellence and process optimization • Evaluate and improve operational workflows to increase efficiency, scalability, and consistency. • Implement best practices across finance, technology, compliance, and client service. • Promote enterprise-wide adoption of standardized processes while preserving entrepreneurial flexibility where it creates advantage. • Identify effective practices in one firm and scale them across the network. Accountability and performance management • Establish clear performance metrics and KPIs tied to growth, profitability, and efficiency. • Conduct regular business reviews with partner firms and deliver actionable insights and recommendations. • Act as a coach and advisor: challenge assumptions, hold leaders accountable to agreed goals and enterprise standards, and drive performance. • Maintain disciplined records of plans, commitments, opportunities, risk indicators, and forecasts in our CRM and reporting tools. Cross-enterprise leadership and escalations • Serve as the key connector between partner firms and internal Stratos and SEI resources. • Direct coordinated responses across investment management, operations, service, product, technology, compliance, legal, finance, marketing, onboarding, practice management, and sales. • Own major escalations from diagnosis through resolution, establishing decision rights, communications, timelines, and executive visibility. • Represent Stratos’ perspective in enterprise prioritization and strategy credibly with partner-firm executives. • Mentor other relationship managers, lead selected enterprise initiatives, and strengthen the discipline of segmentation, relationship planning, business reviews, and escalation management. How success will be measured: Performance in this role is evaluated across growth, integration, operating, and relationship outcomes: • Revenue and earnings growth: expansion of top-line revenue and improvement in EBITDA margins across partner firms. • Retention and relationship health across strategic and enterprise accounts, including executive sponsorship and trust, and overall relationship health as measured by Net Promoter Score • Operational efficiency: reduced redundancy, improved workflows, and increased scalability. • Expense management: optimization of cost structures without compromising growth. • Enterprise scale: adoption of shared systems, processes, and strategic initiatives across the network including utilization of Stratos, SIM, and SEI capabilities • Integration, transformation, and major-initiative milestones where assigned. • Quality and speed of major issue resolution, negotiation, cross-functional execution, mentoring, forecast accuracy, and control discipline. Compensation consists of a competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive compensation tied to these outcomes. Core competencies • Strategic thinking and execution • Leadership and influence • Relationship management and executive presence • Commercial and financial judgment • Operational excellence • Change management • Accountability, collaboration, and enterprise mindset Why this role matters This role is central to realizing the Stratos vision of a unified, scalable, high-performing enterprise that still preserves the entrepreneurial spirit of our partner firms. The leader who takes it will shape the trajectory of our growth, strengthen our culture, and elevate the performance of the entire network. If you want to build something at scale rather than administer something already built, this is the seat. Benefits and rewards To help you stay energized, engaged, and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits through our parent company, SEI, including comprehensive care for your physical and mental well-being, a strong retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, a flexible working environment, support for working parents, and Flexible Time Off so you can relax, recharge, and be there for the people you care about. Equal employment opportunity Stratos Wealth Enterprises and SEI are equal opportunity and affirmative action employers. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. What we need from you • Ten to fifteen or more years of senior experience in wealth management, registered investment advisers, advisor platforms, custody, asset management, broker-dealer services, financial services consulting, or comparable strategic client coverage. • A proven track record of working directly with founders, business owners, and executive teams, and of owning complex, high-value business relationships. • Demonstrated ability to lead complex integrations, transformations, or scaling initiatives, and to carry major negotiations and escalations to resolution. • Strong financial acumen, including experience driving P&L performance and operational improvement, and deep knowledge of advisor and wealth-firm economics and operating models. • Working command of investment and custody concepts, platform technology, and the regulatory environment supporting RIAs and hybrid firms. • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with executive presence, credibility, and the ability to deliver constructive challenge. • Experience influencing without direct authority and aligning diverse stakeholders around a common vision, along with a high level of emotional intelligence, adaptability, and resilience. • FINRA Series 65 or Series 66 registration, active. • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, and willingness to travel up to 50 percent. What we would like from you • Experience with enterprise RIAs, acquired practices, national advisor platforms, multi-custody firms, or complex hybrid organizations. • Experience leading post-acquisition integration, transformation, succession planning, practice growth, or executive-level business planning. • FINRA Series 7 registration, and a CFP, CIMA, CRPC, CFA, or MBA credential. • Fluency with CRM, portfolio accounting, financial planning, and custodial platforms. • Experience mentoring relationship professionals or leading relationship management practice without necessarily having direct reports. • Consulting or advisory experience serving owner-led businesses through periods of rapid growth or change. • Someone who will embody our values of People First, Empower Entrepreneurs, Positive Can-Do Attitude, Embrace Collaboration, and Do the Right Thing.
