Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Consultant to join our growing team. This role is primarily a business analyst position with a strong hands-on component. You will lead discovery, become the expert on each client’s business processes, and translate requirements into user stories and solution designs. You will also configure Salesforce and build declarative automation to deliver those designs. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with nonprofit operations, a track record of successful Salesforce implementations, and the communication skills to guide clients from discovery through go-live. A typical day might include leading a refinement session with a client, writing acceptance criteria, building a Flow, and walking a client admin through user acceptance testing.
Job Responsibilities:
-
Lead discovery sessions with clients to gather requirements, assess current-state processes, and map future-state workflows.
-
Write user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, and determine and document solution designs.
-
Lead client refinement meetings during the project build phase.
-
Serve as the liaison between the project team and the client, with the goal of becoming an expert on the client’s business processes and pain points.
-
Configure Salesforce and build declarative automation, primarily Flows, to deliver the solutions you design.
-
Manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
-
Write and execute QA test scripts when there isn’t a dedicated QA resource.
-
Translate QA scripts into UAT scripts and guide client testing, both sprint-level and end-to-end.
-
Smoke test deployments into sandboxes and the production environment.
-
Lead client training for system administrators and end users, and create supporting documentation.
-
Provide internal domain expertise on nonprofit processes, including fundraising, grantmaking, event management, and volunteer management.
-
Mentor junior consultants and business analysts, as needed.
-
Assist in the pre-sales process with scoping and discovery, as needed.
-
Contribute to the rich and diverse culture of Agile Cloud Consulting as an engaged member of our fully virtual team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
-
5+ years of relevant experience, including 4+ years of Salesforce consulting experience with a strong track record in project delivery.
-
2+ years of experience at or supporting nonprofit organizations, with in-depth knowledge of nonprofit business processes.
-
Expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, and business analysis.
-
Strong communication and client-management skills, including the ability to manage client expectations and facilitate productive working sessions.
-
Hands-on Salesforce configuration experience: custom objects and fields, page layouts and Lightning pages, quick actions, list views, reports and dashboards, and configuration of AppExchange products.
-
Declarative development experience with Flow, Validation Rules, and Approval Processes.
-
Working knowledge of the Salesforce security model: profiles, permission sets, roles, org-wide defaults, and sharing rules.
-
Experience writing test plans and test scripts and guiding clients through user acceptance testing.
-
Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud preferred. Experience with Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) is also valuable.
-
Experience with Experience Cloud and with data tools such as Data Loader is a plus.
-
Experience working with higher education institutions is a plus.
-
Willingness to use AI to improve efficiency and accuracy.
-
Works well in a team environment with minimal supervision.
-
Salesforce certifications are a plus, especially Platform Administrator, Platform App Builder, Business Analyst, Agentforce Nonprofit Consultant (formerly Nonprofit Cloud Consultant), Nonprofit Success Pack Consultant, and Experience Cloud Consultant.
What We Offer:
-
Competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
-
Opportunities for professional growth and development.
-
A supportive and collaborative work environment.
-
The chance to make a positive impact by supporting non-profit organizations in achieving their missions through technology.
