The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAN Infrastructure Specialist to design, implement, maintain, and optimize Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure and enterprise storage environments. The successful candidate will ensure storage availability, performance, scalability, data protection, and disaster recovery readiness across critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise SAN and storage infrastructure.
• Administer Fibre Channel, iSCSI, storage fabrics, switches, and associated connectivity.
• Manage enterprise storage platforms, including capacity allocation, provisioning, zoning, and LUN masking.
• Monitor storage performance, utilization, availability, and system health.
• Troubleshoot storage connectivity, latency, multipathing, and performance issues.
• Support storage integration with virtualization platforms, databases, servers, and enterprise applications.
• Implement storage redundancy, replication, backup integration, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Conduct capacity planning and recommend infrastructure upgrades based on business requirements.
• Perform firmware upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and storage system maintenance.
• Maintain storage documentation, architecture diagrams, configuration records, and operational procedures.
• Implement appropriate access controls, encryption, and security measures to protect stored data.
• Support backup recovery testing, business continuity exercises, and disaster recovery planning.
• Coordinate with server, network, cloud, database, and cybersecurity teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
• Manage incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with technology vendors and service providers for technical support and infrastructure enhancements.
• Ensure changes follow approved change management, testing, and implementation procedures.
• Support infrastructure audits and compliance assessments involving data storage and protection.
• Recommend automation and process improvements to increase storage efficiency and operational reliability.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in enterprise storage administration, SAN infrastructure, or data center operations.
• Strong knowledge of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, SAN zoning, LUN masking, multipathing, and storage protocols.
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms such as Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM, or equivalent technologies.
• Familiarity with VMware or other virtualization environments and enterprise server infrastructure.
• Knowledge of storage replication, backup and recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery principles.
• Understanding of storage security, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and incident management.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications

• Dell Technologies storage certifications.
• NetApp storage administration certifications.
• HPE storage or infrastructure certifications.
• Relevant VMware or data center infrastructure certifications.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent IT service management training.
