The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day site activities, coordinate contractors and work crews, monitor construction progress, maintain quality and safety standards, and ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements.

The ideal candidate will provide strong on-site leadership, coordinate multiple work fronts, resolve field issues, monitor productivity, and maintain effective communication between site teams, contractors, consultants, engineers, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site operations and construction activities across assigned work areas.
• Coordinate site activities with project managers, engineers, architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, work schedules, and construction requirements.
• Ensure site activities are executed in accordance with approved documents and project standards.
• Monitor daily progress and compare actual site performance against approved schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate work sequencing between civil, structural, architectural, MEP, finishing, and specialist trades.
• Allocate work areas and coordinate multiple crews to prevent conflicts and productivity losses.
• Conduct daily site inspections covering progress, workmanship, safety, housekeeping, access, and site conditions.
• Identify site constraints, design conflicts, material shortages, access limitations, and other issues affecting progress.
• Escalate significant technical, operational, safety, quality, and schedule issues to appropriate management.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance against agreed scope, schedule, quality, and site requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces between different contractors, trades, and work packages.
• Verify that adequate manpower, equipment, materials, tools, and supervision are available for planned activities.
• Monitor material deliveries, storage, handling, protection, and usage on site.
• Verify that materials installed on site comply with approved specifications, samples, and technical submittals.
• Identify and report damaged, incorrect, defective, or non-conforming materials.
• Coordinate inspections before work is covered, concealed, or progressed to subsequent stages.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure construction activities meet required quality standards and tolerances.
• Identify defects, incomplete works, deviations, and non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support quality inspections, inspection requests, testing activities, and quality documentation.
• Monitor implementation of approved method statements and inspection and test plans.
• Ensure required permits, approvals, inspections, and prerequisites are completed before work begins.
• Coordinate with Health & Safety personnel to maintain safe working conditions.
• Monitor compliance with site safety rules, PPE requirements, access controls, housekeeping, and high-risk work procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and safety violations immediately.
• Support toolbox talks, daily briefings, safety awareness, and workforce communication.
• Monitor high-risk activities including working at height, lifting operations, excavation, hot work, electrical work, confined spaces, and temporary works.
• Ensure appropriate barriers, signage, access controls, and protection measures are maintained.
• Monitor site housekeeping, waste removal, storage areas, walkways, access routes, and work-zone organization.
• Coordinate site logistics, deliveries, unloading, equipment movement, and material handling.
• Monitor manpower levels and productivity and identify resource requirements.
• Track equipment availability and utilization and escalate shortages or breakdowns affecting progress.
• Maintain accurate daily records covering manpower, work activities, progress, deliveries, inspections, safety observations, and site issues.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and periodic site progress reports.
• Maintain records of site instructions, technical queries, drawing clarifications, changes, delays, and outstanding actions.
• Support the preparation and tracking of RFIs, technical queries, inspection requests, and construction clarifications.
• Ensure current approved drawings and documents are available to site personnel.
• Prevent the use of superseded drawings, specifications, or unauthorized information.
• Participate in coordination meetings, progress meetings, toolbox meetings, technical reviews, and contractor meetings.
• Provide accurate site updates to project management, engineering, quality, safety, and commercial teams.
• Monitor interfaces with existing buildings, utilities, roads, neighboring works, and operational areas.
• Support phased construction, shutdowns, relocations, access restrictions, and complex work sequences.
• Identify opportunities to improve site productivity, work sequencing, construction methods, and resource utilization.
• Support schedule-recovery initiatives and monitor implementation of contractor recovery plans.
• Assist project controls teams with progress measurement, productivity information, and schedule updates.
• Coordinate with commercial teams regarding completed works, variations, site records, and potential claims.
• Verify completed works against approved drawings, specifications, and agreed quantities where required.
• Support preparation and verification of as-built information and site records.
• Coordinate final inspections, snagging, defect rectification, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Track outstanding works and ensure site issues are closed before project handover.
• Maintain effective working relationships with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and field leadership to supervisors, foremen, engineers, technicians, and trade personnel.
• Mentor junior site personnel and promote disciplined site-management practices.
• Support lessons-learned activities and continuous improvement across construction operations.
• Ensure all site activities comply with applicable regulations, permits, contractual requirements, and project procedures.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate should have strong experience in site supervision, construction supervision, civil construction, building construction, infrastructure, fit-out, MEP coordination, industrial projects, or multidisciplinary construction environments, preferably within large-scale commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial, infrastructure, or international projects.
