Role Description

Position: Senior Software Developer

You'll play a key role across the entire software engineering lifecycle, from architecture and technical design to development, deployment, optimization, and ongoing maintenance.

You'll work on high-impact products used by thousands of businesses, building secure, scalable, high-performance applications alongside an international engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and Scale: Design, develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance PHP applications that support thousands of businesses across multiple markets.

* Own the Engineering Process: Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, from architecture and development to deployment and continuous improvement.

* API & System Integration: Design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful APIs, integrating with payment gateways, delivery providers, and third-party services.

* Performance Optimization: Improve application performance, database efficiency, and system reliability through query optimization, indexing, caching, and clean architecture.

* Software Quality: Write clean, reusable, well-tested code while maintaining high standards for security, performance, and maintainability.

* Testing & Reliability: Develop automated unit and integration tests, troubleshoot production issues, and implement long-term solutions.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver reliable features and improvements.

* Modern Engineering Practices: Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly while maintaining strong engineering standards, security guardrails, and code quality.

Requirements

* 5+ years of professional experience developing and maintaining PHP applications.

* Strong hands-on experience with Laravel / CodeIgniter.

* Deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and software design patterns.

* Solid knowledge of MySQL, ClickHouse and postgres including database design, query optimization, and indexing.

* Experience designing, developing, and securing RESTful APIs, including authentication and authorization.

* Good understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and message queues.

* Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

* Proficiency with Git, preferably Bitbucket, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.

* Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and optimizing existing systems.

* Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

* Good command of English, with the ability to communicate effectively within an international team.

* A proactive mindset, strong ownership, and a passion for continuous learning.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with Linux/Unix-based environments.

* Hands-on experience with PHPUnit or Pest for automated testing.

* Go Lang and React is plus point

* Familiarity with Redis, RabbitMQ, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

* Previous experience developing e-commerce platforms, SaaS products, or high-traffic applications.

* Experience building scalable systems that support multiple markets and large numbers of users.

* Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and modern engineering workflows.
