Senior Software Engineer (Java)

We go beyond providing an electronic patient record; we strive to support a wide range of users in healthcare. We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer for one of our engineering teams. Contribute to designing and implementing one or more functional domains of our products. You are experienced in building cloud-native applications, and concepts like micro-services, event-driven architecture, APIs, ... hold no secrets for you. You have a passion for high-quality and maintainable code and apply SOLID, Clean Architecture, DDD, TDD, … without thinking.

What will you do?

• Technical Design & Implementation: you help with the technical design of features and implement them together with the team.
• DevSecOps: you don't just implement features, but, together with the team, you are also responsible for building, deploying, and supporting your applications in production.
• Quality & Scalability: you ensure testable code, and help focus on high test automation, both functionally and for performance and scalability.
• Documentation and standards: Help document important technical designs and establish good agreements within the team to work efficiently and consistently.
• AI Native development: you embrace modern AI tools to enhance and accelerate your work, while guarding the quality of the work you deliver this way.

What do you bring?

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development.
• Good understanding of contract-first and event-driven architectures, microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless technologies.
• Solid experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with Golang is considered a big plus.
• Experience in healthcare is considered a plus.
• In-depth understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and infrastructure as code (IaC) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A can-do mentality: You propose solutions instead of raising problems and you can actively dive into the code.
• You have experience within larger environments where multiple teams work together on the same product.
