Senior Technical Asset Manager

Senior Asset Manager | Renewable Energy

We’re working with a growing renewable energy investment and asset management business that is expanding its European portfolio of wind, solar and battery storage assets.

They’re looking for a Senior Asset Manager to take responsibility for a portfolio of operational renewable energy assets, working across both the technical and commercial side of asset performance.

The role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing the technical and commercial performance of operational renewable energy assets
• Working closely with O&M, asset management and other external service providers
• Managing key commercial contracts and supplier relationships
• Monitoring asset performance, budgets, risks and opportunities
• Building strong relationships with investors, lenders, grid companies, landowners and other stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to improve asset performance and maximise long-term value
• Supporting acquisitions, due diligence and the transition of new assets into operation

About you

We’re looking for someone with 5+ years’ experience in asset management, operations or engineering, ideally within renewable energy, energy or utilities.

You’ll need:

• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing operational assets, contractors or key service providers
• A good understanding of renewable energy projects and their operational lifecycle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• A full UK driving licence
• Electrical engineering or in-depth MV/HV experience would be beneficial, but is not essential.

The opportunity

This is a hands-on role within a growing renewable energy business, offering exposure across the technical, commercial and investment side of the asset lifecycle.

The role is fully remote, with the successful candidate based in Scotland or Northern England, alongside regular travel to operational sites.
