Senior Technical Business Analyst - Underwriting Workbench
G MassWe are seeking an experienced, Senior Technical Business Analyst to support delivery of a new underwriting workbench platform. The successful candidate will translate business and technical needs into solution-ready BA artefacts that enable design, build, integration and test teams to deliver against a clear, well-defined set of requirements. Experience supporting the testing lifecycle is especially important for this role, including input to test planning, test case/scenario definition, and support through test execution and defect triage. Key Focus Areas: APIs and system-to-system interactions Data mapping, data definitions and mapping rules Integration requirements across underwriting and policy systems Policy lifecycle data movement and downstream data flows Key Deliverables: Process models covering current and target-state underwriting workflows Functional requirements specifications that are clear, testable and traceable Data flow diagrams and system handoff definitions Controls documentation and policy-lifecycle data movement mapping User stories, acceptance criteria and other DevOps backlog updates Input into, and maintenance of, the technical delivery plan Proven track record as a technical/solution-focused Senior Business Analyst on underwriting or policy workbench implementation programmes. Experience of workbench implementations with a data/system feed into a policy administration platform is essential. Strong grounding in APIs, system interactions, and data mapping/definition work within an insurance or London Market context. Comfortable operating across both business and technical stakeholder groups, and able to work directly with architects, developers and test teams. Length: initial 12 month contract
