Senior Technical Engineer

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for an Owner at Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority. The Owner will oversee strategic direction, review key initiatives, and provide guidance on investment opportunities and economic development projects. Daily activities include evaluating proposals, monitoring performance indicators, and coordinating with executive leadership and external partners to ensure alignment with ASEZA’s mission. The role involves participating in high-level decision-making, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring that activities support sustainable growth and community well-being. The Owner will also help identify new opportunities, mitigate risks, and uphold governance and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Strong background in business ownership, entrepreneurship, or high-level leadership within public or private sector organizations.
• Experience in economic development, regional planning, or investment management, preferably in special economic zones or related fields.
• Proficiency in strategic planning, financial analysis, and decision-making, with the ability to evaluate complex projects and initiatives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and organizations.
• Understanding of sustainable development principles and governance best practices, with a commitment to ethical and transparent leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or equivalent experience are an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and use digital tools for communication and collaboration.
