The Role:

Hampshire County Council is recruiting within our Safer Roads and Parking Team, part of the Traffic and Safety Group. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to help shape the future of our communities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and play a key role in keeping Hampshire moving while making our roads safer.

What you’ll do:

As a Senior Technical Officer, you will provide support to the Safer Roads and Parking Team by delivering a programme of permanent and temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) for internal and external clients and assessing abnormal load vehicle movement notifications. This role involves working closely with external partner organisations, including the Police, as well as internal teams across the Council. Previous administrative experience would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided.

What we’re looking for:

With the ability to work independently, use your initiative and meet deadlines, you will provide comprehensive technical administrative support to the service. We would love to hear from applicants who are keen to be part of a successful team focused on road safety and serving local communities.
