Senior Technical Roaming Specialist

Job Objective

Support and optimize international roaming technical operations by managing roaming configurations, conducting network testing, troubleshooting signaling and connectivity issues, and ensuring reliable roaming services across international mobile network operators. The role requires strong hands-on technical expertise and the ability to perform network diagnostics, testing, configuration, and technical support remotely through secure access to network systems.

Main Tasks

• Manage and support international roaming technical operations across 4G/LTE, 5G, VoLTE, and data roaming services.
• Perform roaming configuration, network integration, testing, and troubleshooting with international mobile network operators.
• Conduct IREG and TADIG testing to validate roaming connectivity, service functionality, and compliance with technical requirements.
• Monitor and troubleshoot roaming signaling, including SS7 and Diameter protocols.
• Manage and troubleshoot IPX and GRX connectivity to ensure reliable international roaming interconnection.
• Perform remote network diagnostics, testing, configuration, and troubleshooting using secure access to relevant network systems.
• Provide technical support for roaming issues involving voice, SMS, data, LTE/4G, 5G, and VoLTE services.
• Analyze network traces, signaling messages, alarms, and performance indicators to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with international mobile operators, roaming partners, and internal technical teams to resolve connectivity and service-related incidents.
• Support roaming service implementation, integration, testing, and launch activities.
• Monitor roaming network performance, identify service degradation, and implement optimization measures.
• Document technical configurations, test results, incidents, troubleshooting procedures, and resolution reports.
• Ensure compliance with network security policies and operational procedures when accessing remote network environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Significant hands-on experience in international roaming technical operations, preferably with a mobile network operator.
• Strong knowledge of LTE/4G, 5G, VoLTE, and data roaming technologies.
• Practical experience with SS7 and Diameter signaling protocols and roaming interconnection.
• Good understanding of IPX and GRX connectivity and international roaming network architecture.
• Proven experience conducting IREG and TADIG testing, roaming configuration, and technical validation.
• Demonstrated expertise in network troubleshooting, signaling analysis, remote diagnostics, and performance optimization.
• Ability to independently perform technical testing, configuration, diagnostics, and troubleshooting remotely through secure access to network systems, without requiring on-site presence.
• Experience integrating and testing roaming services with international mobile network operators.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools, protocol analyzers, trace analysis, and incident management procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills when working with international technical teams.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively across different time zones and provide remote technical support as required.
