The Product Manager will work across internal teams Product, Technology, Clinical Content, Commercial, Business Development, Legal, and Customer Success to define offerings that can be delivered through Lippincott products/platform and selected partner experiences.

The role requires sound product judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to use emerging AI tools, agents and methods to accelerate research, analysis, prototyping, validation, and decision-making. The Product Manager will also help establish the evaluation, quality, governance, and commercialization practices needed to deliver trustworthy experiences at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer needs by engaging nursing leaders, health systems, clinical informatics teams, innovation groups, and other stakeholders to identify workflows, pain points, desired outcomes, and success measures.
  • Define product strategy, vision, success metrics, and roadmap priorities in alignment with customer needs, portfolio strategy, and business objectives.
  • Continuously improve product performance across revenue, growth, retention, engagement, and customer value.
  • Use emerging technologies and AI-enabled methods to accelerate discovery, research, analysis, prototyping, documentation, and decision-making while maintaining human judgment and accountability.
  • Build lightweight prototypes, demonstrations, and experiments to explore product concepts, validate assumptions, and gather customer feedback before significant investment.
  • Prioritize and sequence delivery using clear trade-offs, documented decisions, and a strong understanding of dependencies, risks, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with Technology to define product requirements, evaluation measures, acceptance criteria, and quality standards, including accuracy, completeness, relevance, safety, trustworthiness, and reliability.
  • Work with Clinical Content and clinical stakeholders to define content readiness requirements and ensure that product experiences reflect authoritative, evidence-based information.
  • Help shape platform, API, integration, and partner requirements so that capabilities can support multiple product and ecosystem experiences over time.
  • Develop commercial packaging, pricing recommendations, value stories, and go-to-market inputs in partnership with Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Customer Success.
  • Support evaluation of strategic partnerships by defining customer and product requirements, assessing fit, shaping the roadmap, and helping develop joint offerings.
  • Establish responsible product practices, including human oversight, transparency, auditability, clinical review, customer trust, and alignment with Wolters Kluwer governance processes.
  • Communicate progress, decisions, risks, and recommendations clearly to leadership and stakeholders across Product, Technology, Content, Commercial, and Business Development.
  • Drive continuous product improvement using evaluation results, telemetry and customer feedback.

Core Outcomes

  • The Product Manager will help ensure that Lippincott products/platform deliver measurable customer and business value. Success will be demonstrated through:
  • A clear, customer-informed product strategy and roadmap.
  • Faster learning and delivery through focused prototypes, experiments, and early customer validation.
  • Sharper product decisions supported by documented evidence, trade-offs, and success measures.
  • Trustworthy, high-quality experiences that meet clinical, customer, and business expectations.
  • Strong cross-functional execution with clear ownership and fewer avoidable handoffs.
  • Commercial offerings and partner opportunities that are grounded in real customer needs and a credible value proposition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of product management, product development, healthcare technology, or closely related experience.
  • Understanding of AI-enabled development, and AI technologies; ability to leverage AI to accelerate product definition, evaluation and decision-making and to work with an AI-enabled team to define AI-enabled and/or agentic solutions for customers
  • Experience translating customer problems and market needs into product strategy, requirements, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience conducting product discovery, research, analysis, prototyping, user validation, or early-access testing.
  • Experience building and evaluating prototypes and demonstrations independently, including with modern product and productivity tools.
  • Strong judgment in evaluating outputs from emerging technologies and determining when human review, clinical validation, or additional evidence is required.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering, design, clinical, content, commercial, legal, and customer-facing teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Relevant healthcare, nursing, clinical workflow, healthcare information, education, or enterprise software experience preferred.
