Unlock Your Potential!
At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting, finance, and professional services industries.
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior US Tax Accountant to own U.S. tax returns from start to finish, manage complex multi-state compliance, and mentor junior preparers. You will handle federal and state income tax returns (Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, and 1120S), resolve IRS and state notices, and communicate clearly and professionally with U.S. clients.
Your Impact
- Tax Preparation & Review: Prepare and review U.S. federal and state income tax returns (Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, and 1120S)-ranging from straightforward filings to complex, multi-state engagements-alongside amended returns, extensions, estimates, 1099s, and franchise tax filings.
- Research & Compliance: Investigate financial statements and general ledgers to establish accurate tax positions, research complex tax questions, resolve IRS and state notices, and maintain tidy, transparent engagement tracking.
- Junior Mentorship & Review: Review the work of junior preparers, provide constructive and actionable feedback, and support their ongoing professional development.
- Client Engagement & Bookkeeping: Communicate directly and clearly with clients without technical jargon walls, and pitch in on light bookkeeping and reconciliations in QuickBooks Online when required.
What You Bring
- The Experience: At least 4 years of hands-on U.S. tax preparation experience supporting U.S. CPA firms or U.S. clients, backed by a solid command of federal and multi-state compliance.
- Education & Credentials: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (PH CPA, U.S. CMA, U.S. EA, active PTIN, or QuickBooks ProAdvisor/Certified Bookkeeper credentials are a strong plus).
- Technical Mastery: Proficiency with major U.S. tax platforms, strong Excel capabilities, and familiarity with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
- Core Competencies: Excellent written English for direct client correspondence, obsessive attention to detail, calmness under deadline pressure, a continuous-learning mindset, and a positive, collaborative team spirit.
