Opportunity Overview

Our client is a fully remote, post-production focused podcast and video agency, looking for a Senior Video Editor to join their team. The role sits at the heart of branded podcast and video content production for clients globally, spanning video podcasts, social clips, and event content. You'll work through internal producers rather than directly with clients.

Role Description

As Senior Video Editor, you'll handle video and audio editing, sound design, colour grading, and platform-specific asset creation across long-form and short-form content. You'll work within branded templates, building subtitles, name straps, and YouTube teaser trailers with dynamic text, lower thirds, and graphics. You'll run thorough self-QC before handing off to producers, and collaborate closely with them on edit structure, pacing, and storytelling. You'll also mentor junior editors and help maintain consistent quality standards across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Long and Short-Form Editing - Handle video and audio editing, sound design, and colour grading across formats.
• Branded Template Work - Build subtitles, name straps, and YouTube teaser trailers with dynamic text and graphics.
• Self-QC and Organisation - Run thorough self-QC before handoff and maintain naming and archiving conventions.
• Producer Collaboration - Work closely with producers on edit structure, pacing, storytelling, and ideation sessions.
• Mentorship - Mentor junior editors and help maintain consistent quality standards across the team.
• Continuous Learning - Stay current on editing techniques and YouTube optimisation, sharing insights in knowledge-sharing sessions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Editing Portfolio - Demonstrated long and short-form video editing experience with strong storytelling and technical skills.
• Organisation and QC - Highly organised, detail-oriented, with excellent spelling, grammar, and quality-control skills.
• Project Management - Strong project management skills across multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
• Tool Proficiency - Proficient across Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects, and Frame.io for full post-production.
• Remote Collaboration - Strong communicator able to work collaboratively with internal teams in a remote setting.
• Producer-Facing Role - Comfortable working through internal producers rather than directly with clients.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lucid Link Experience - Familiarity with Lucid Link for remote collaborative editing workflows.
• YouTube Optimisation - Keen understanding of YouTube optimisation and platform algorithms.
