Unigenius Consultants is a UK-based educational consultancy helping students find suitable courses and universities in the UK, Italy, other European countries, the USA, Canada, and Australia. We are looking for a creative and experienced Senior Video Editor to strengthen our social media presence through high-quality, engaging video content.

About the Role

You will manage the video content process from research and ideas to editing and publishing. This includes analysing competitors, identifying relevant trends, developing original concepts, and providing scripts and filming instructions to our team. Once the team records the footage, you will turn it into polished videos that capture attention, communicate clearly, and increase brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Research engaging content, campaigns, and social media activity to identify opportunities for Unigenius.
• Stay up to date with video trends, platform features, editing styles, and audience preferences.
• Develop original content ideas and maintain a consistent content calendar.
• Write engaging scripts with strong opening hooks, clear messages, and calls to action.
• Provide the recording team with clear briefs, shot lists, and filming guidance.
• Edit footage into high-quality videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant channels.
• Handle all aspects of post-production, including pacing, transitions, text overlays, subtitles, captions, motion graphics, colour correction, colour grading, music, and sound design.
• Ensure videos follow our brand style and present course information accurately, checking details with the team before publication.
• Create suitable thumbnails, cover images, post captions, and platform-specific video formats.
• Schedule and publish content across our social media accounts.
• Monitor views, watch time, engagement, audience growth, and enquiries to improve future content.
• Organise footage, project files, and finished videos, while managing deadlines and revisions.

What We Are Looking For

• A strong portfolio demonstrating professional video editing and engaging social media content.
• Proven experience developing content ideas, writing scripts, and editing short-form videos.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent software.
• Strong skills in motion graphics, typography, subtitles, colour grading, and audio editing.
• An understanding of social media trends, audience behaviour, and content performance.
• The ability to turn competitor research into original ideas suited to our brand.
• Strong written English for scripts, captions, and communication with our UK team.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to work independently.
• A reliable internet connection and a computer capable of professional video editing.

Experience in education, student recruitment, or consultancy marketing would be an advantage.

What We Offer
