This role focuses on curve construction methodologies, market data analysis, interpolation techniques, model calibration, and ensuring the reliability of interest rate curves across multiple currencies and market environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in fixed-income markets, quantitative modeling, interest rate derivatives, and financial market data, with the ability to collaborate effectively across quantitative research, trading, risk management, and product control teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, construct, maintain, and validate yield curves for multiple currencies and tenors to support pricing, valuation, and risk management activities.
  • Build and calibrate discount curves, forward curves, government bond curves, swap curves, and other relevant interest rate term structures.
  • Analyze market instruments used in curve construction, including deposits, futures, forward rate agreements, government securities, and interest rate swaps.
  • Select and apply appropriate bootstrapping, interpolation, extrapolation, and curve-fitting methodologies based on market conventions and business requirements.
  • Review market data inputs, including interest rates, swap rates, bond yields, basis spreads, and other relevant pricing information.
  • Investigate market data inconsistencies, stale prices, outliers, and curve construction anomalies, ensuring accurate and reliable outputs.
  • Support the development and maintenance of multi-curve frameworks, including discounting and forwarding curves where applicable.
  • Analyze yield curve movements, term structure changes, basis risk, and curve sensitivities to support trading, valuation, and risk reporting.
  • Conduct validation, benchmarking, and sensitivity analysis to assess curve stability, accuracy, and suitability for different financial products.
  • Collaborate with quantitative analysts, traders, treasury, market risk, product control, and technology teams to address curve-related issues.
  • Support pricing and valuation of interest rate derivatives, fixed-income securities, structured products, and other instruments that rely on yield curve inputs.
  • Monitor market conventions, central bank policy developments, liquidity conditions, and market events that may affect curve construction.
  • Maintain documentation covering curve methodologies, calibration instruments, model assumptions, market data sources, and validation procedures.
  • Support model governance, independent reviews, internal audits, and regulatory examinations related to interest rate curve methodologies.
  • Develop tools and automated processes to improve curve construction, market data validation, and reporting efficiency.
  • Investigate pricing discrepancies arising from curve differences and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of quantitative models, curve management frameworks, and interest rate analytics.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members and support knowledge sharing across quantitative and financial markets functions.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Physics, Financial Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in yield curve construction, quantitative finance, fixed-income analytics, interest rate derivatives, or financial model development.
  • Strong understanding of interest rate markets, yield curve dynamics, term structures, and fixed-income valuation principles.
  • Hands-on experience with bootstrapping, curve calibration, interpolation, extrapolation, and curve-fitting techniques.
  • Familiarity with discount curves, forward curves, multi-curve frameworks, and relevant interest rate conventions.
  • Experience working with market data from financial information providers, exchanges, and other recognized pricing sources.
  • Understanding of interest rate derivatives, including swaps, futures, forward rate agreements, and related valuation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of model validation, sensitivity analysis, market data controls, and quantitative risk management.
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, R, or similar quantitative programming languages; experience with SQL and VBA is an advantage.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with financial analytics or pricing platforms.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CFA, FRM, CQF, or equivalent quantitative finance credentials are desirable.
  • Knowledge of UAE financial markets and regional interest rate conventions is an advantage.

  • Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fully remote environment.
