Senior/Managing Expert Pricing & Actuary Non-Life
As a Senior/Managing Expert Pricing & Actuary Non-Life at NN in Brussels, you will play a key role within our non-life insurance activities. You combine deep pricing expertise with strategic advisory capabilities and work closely with management, distribution partners, and business stakeholders to drive profitable growth.
Your impact at NN: what you will do
NN Non-Life in Belgium is a dynamic and forward-looking entity within the NN Group. As a Senior Actuary within NN Non-Life Belgium, you will have a significant impact on the entity’s strategic business decisions while also benefiting from the extensive expertise and international network of the NN Group.
In addition to your core responsibilities related to pricing and the profitability of non-life insurance products, you will serve as a key contact for stakeholder management with both internal and external partners. You translate complex analyses into clear insights and actionable recommendations, helping drive informed decision-making across the organization.
Key responsibilities:
- You are responsible for the end-to-end pricing of non-life insurance products for retail customers and/or SMEs, including pricing cases, business proposals, and profitability analyses
- You develop, refine, and implement advanced pricing models (such as GLM, GAM, and XGBoost) and translate their outcomes into competitive and profitable pricing strategies
- You analyze and optimize portfolio performance through segmentation, pricing adjustments, dynamic pricing, and in-depth analyses of customer churn, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value
- You support management in data-driven decision-making and actively contribute to strategic discussions on growth, profitability, and market positioning
- You take a leading role within the team by setting priorities, ensuring the quality of deliverables, coaching colleagues, and driving innovation through machine learning, artificial intelligence, GitHub Copilot, and other advanced analytical techniques
Who you will work with
The Pricing & Actuarial team consists of four actuaries responsible for pricing and monitoring the profitability of our non-life insurance portfolio. Collaboration, openness, and continuous improvement are at the core of the team.
You will work closely with stakeholders across Product, Sales, Finance, and IT, as well as with our distribution partners, helping to align pricing strategies with business objectives and market opportunities.
