Job Summary We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Data Migration Technical Consultant to lead and deliver data migration activities across ServiceNow implementations and transformation projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, data migration methodologies, integrations, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, technical architects, and development teams to ensure accurate, secure, and efficient migration of data into ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and execution of ServiceNow data migration activities.
  

• Analyse legacy/source systems and identify data structures, dependencies, relationships, and data quality issues.
  

• Define migration strategies, data mapping, transformation rules, and migration plans.
  

• Develop and configure Import Sets and Transform Maps for data migration.
  

• Work with Import Set Tables, staging tables, Transform Scripts, Coalesce fields, and data transformation logic.
  

• Migrate data across ServiceNow modules including ITSM, CSM, FSM, CMDB, Asset Management, HRSD, and custom applications.
  

• Develop data migration scripts and automation using ServiceNow JavaScript.
  

• Perform data cleansing, normalization, deduplication, and enrichment before migration.
  

• Map legacy data fields to ServiceNow target tables and maintain detailed mapping documents.
  

• Handle complex data relationships and migration dependencies between parent and child records.
  

• Migrate attachments, reference fields, users, groups, configuration data, and transactional data where required.
  

• Use REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, JDBC, Import Sets, and other appropriate mechanisms for data extraction and loading.
  

• Design and execute mock migrations, test migrations, and production cutover migrations.
  

• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and record-count checks to guarantee data integrity.
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development with a focus on ITAM/SAM.
  

• High proficiency in JavaScript and the ServiceNow API framework.
  

• Deep technical understanding of SAM Pro data models, Software Installation tables, Discovery Models, and Software Models.
  

• Strong experience with SQL, XML, JSON, and IntegrationHub steps.
  

• Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM).
  

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
