About The Role
Our client is a leading European cloud infrastructure and technology provider delivering scalable cloud services across the full infrastructure spectrum.
As part of the continued development of its cloud platform and security capabilities, our client is looking for an experienced
Site Reliability Engineer with a focus on Confidential Computing to join its international engineering team.
In this role, you will take ownership of the design and implementation of
Confidential Computing technologies at the system and hypervisor level. You will work closely with product and engineering teams while also contributing to the evolution, reliability and performance of the underlying cloud infrastructure.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working close to the operating system, hypervisor and hardware layers and wants to work on emerging security technologies at scale.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement Confidential Computing capabilities at the hypervisor level
- Work with hardware-based Confidential Computing technologies and integrate them into large-scale cloud infrastructure
- Design, maintain and improve operating systems and hypervisor fleets, from Linux kernels and network stacks to security filtering layers
- Contribute to routing, networking and security automation
- Help shape the operating system and infrastructure image strategy, from bare metal to virtual machines
- Maintain and improve system container runtimes
- Develop and enhance provisioning and deployment systems
- Improve the performance, reliability and scalability of bare-metal and hypervisor environments
- Contribute to the architecture and technical design of the overall cloud platform
- Develop and improve internal infrastructure tooling
- Build scalable and highly available systems and processes supporting strong service-level commitments
- Participate in code and infrastructure change reviews
- Take part in an on-call rotation following an appropriate onboarding and training period
Your Profile
You are an experienced infrastructure or systems engineer with a strong interest in
Linux, virtualization, security and Confidential Computing.
Ideally, You Bring
- Solid experience with Linux, Linux kernel and systemd
- Familiarity with Confidential Computing and related concepts, including hardware-based technologies such as AMD SEV, Intel TDX or equivalent
- Knowledge of Secure Boot, chains of trust, remote attestation and key management
- Experience with KVM virtualization
- Good knowledge of eBPF
- Good knowledge of container runtimes
- Strong programming experience with Go/Golang and Python
- Experience with configuration management and large-scale infrastructure
- A strong automation mindset and an interest in eliminating manual processes
- A structured approach to documentation and knowledge sharing
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies
- The ability to work autonomously while being a strong team player in a distributed international environment
- Very good written and spoken English
