ABOUT THE ROLE

Hyperbond Studio is looking for a part-time Short-Form Social Media Creator to join the team behind Call Me Sensei, an anime language-learning app built around characters, comedy, storytelling and dating-sim mechanics.

This is a hands-on creative role for someone who wants to take ownership of our short-form social media presence. You will develop ideas, organize and run filming days, create the videos yourself and help us publish consistently across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and X.

We already have an established marketing direction and brand guidelines. We need someone who can take that direction and independently turn it into entertaining, platform-native videos that help our social channels grow.

This is not a remote editing-only position. While editing and planning can be completed remotely, you must be able to attend and lead recurring weekday content days in central Tokyo.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Develop skits, trend-based videos and original short-form concepts

• Plan and lead weekday content days with members of the team

• Film and edit approximately five short-form videos per week

• Add on-screen text, subtitles, music and other platform-appropriate elements

• Write captions and prepare videos for publishing

• Adapt videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and X

• Follow Call Me Sensei’s existing strategy, voice and brand guidelines

• Track performance and use the results to improve future videos

• Work closely with the marketing team while independently managing your workflow

• Stay current with anime, character, comedy and short-form video trends

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You may be a student, recent graduate or emerging creator. We care more about your creative instincts, reliability and ability to execute than the number of years on your résumé.

You should:

• Be genuinely interested in Call Me Sensei and the world we are building

• Understand anime, character-driven entertainment and internet culture

• Be comfortable generating your own ideas instead of waiting for individual assignments

• Know how to film and edit short-form videos using CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar software

• Understand pacing, hooks, captions and trends for vertical video

• Be organized, proactive and dependable with deadlines

• Be comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment

• Communicate clearly and collaborate well with a small marketing team

• Live in Tokyo or be able to commute easily to areas such as Shinjuku, Shibuya and Roppongi

• Have recurring availability during the week for in-person filming

Professional creator experience is helpful but not required. Personal projects, university work and self-managed social accounts are all welcome in your portfolio.

IMPORTANT FIT INFORMATION

This position is not suitable for someone who is only available on weekends or who is looking exclusively for remote editing work.

The person joining us will be responsible for organizing and running content days, participating in filming and taking videos from the initial idea through the final post.
