Social Media & Lead Generation Assistant for an Industrial Software Developer in Australia (Home Based Part Time)

The client is an industrial software developer that creates specialized add-on software and automation tools for the cabinetmaking and woodworking manufacturing industry.
Job Description
• Develop and manage a social media content calendar for Facebook and LinkedIn, approximately 3–5 posts per week.
• Create engaging visual content using the client's photos, software screenshots and other supplied materials, including before-and-after style graphics.
• Prepare captions and content for client approval before anything is published.
• Research and identify relevant Australian Facebook groups, LinkedIn communities and industry networks.
• Engage authentically in relevant conversations around workshop efficiency, inventory management and material waste.
• Avoid spammy or overly sales-focused engagement and follow the client's approved messaging and FAQ guidelines.
• Proactively research and identify suitable Australian businesses, particularly custom cabinetmakers, commercial joiners, shopfitters and stone fabricators.
• Identify potential decision-makers and initiate appropriate conversations where approved.
• Screen and qualify incoming leads using the client's qualification process.
• Confirm the prospect's business type, role, workshop operation and specific material/inventory challenges.
* Identify whether the prospect has genuine interest and intent to speak with the founder.
• Record qualified leads and relevant information in the shared tracker or CRM.
• Provide clear notes on the prospect, business, decision-maker and specific pain points before handing the lead to the founder.
• Maintain strict approval processes, with no public content or outreach templates being published or used without client approval.
Must Haves
• At least 2 years' experience in B2B social media and/or lead generation. • Strong experience using Facebook and LinkedIn for business purposes. • Excellent written English and the ability to communicate naturally with Australian businesses and tradespeople. • Strong online research and prospecting skills. • Experience qualifying and vetting leads through social media, messaging or other online channels. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow a defined qualification process. • Canva or similar content creation experience. • Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently. • Commercially minded with an understanding that social media activity should ultimately support lead generation and business development.
Nice to Haves
• Experience working with Australian businesses. • B2B lead generation experience within trades, manufacturing, construction or software. • Knowledge of the cabinetmaking, joinery, shopfitting, CNC or stone fabrication industries. • Experience working with Australian trade Facebook groups or LinkedIn communities. • Experience creating social media graphics using Canva. • Experience converting social media engagement into genuine business enquiries.
