Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Social Media Manager. The Social Media Manager will plan, create, and publish engaging content across URCH Foods’ social media channels to showcase products, educate audiences, and build brand awareness. Responsibilities include managing posting schedules, monitoring comments and messages, responding to community inquiries in a professional manner, and maintaining a consistent brand voice. The role involves developing platform-specific content strategies, optimizing posts for reach and engagement, and tracking performance metrics to refine campaigns. The Social Media Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align content with marketing goals, promotions, and brand storytelling, while staying up to date with social media trends relevant to food and consumer goods.
Qualifications
- Strong Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) skills for planning, executing, and optimizing campaigns.
- Excellent Communication and Writing skills to create clear, engaging, and culturally relevant content.
- Experience with Content Strategy, including planning calendars and aligning content with brand and marketing objectives.
- Ability to analyze social media insights and metrics, and use data to improve performance and audience engagement.
- Familiarity with major social platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter) and basic content creation tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
- Interest in or understanding of Nigerian foods, culture, and consumer behavior; prior experience in food or FMCG is an advantage.
- Relevant education or experience in marketing, communications, media, or a related field is preferred.
