LinkedIn Community Manager (Remote Contract)
About Howl
Howl Marketing and Business Development is a Strategic Visibility Partner for B2B firms. Our clients are mostly expert-led businesses: CPAs, estate planning attorneys, financial planners, commercial real estate firms, manufacturers, and insurance agencies. They are very good at what they do and far less visible than they should be.
We work in a set order: Clarity, then Visibility, then Pipeline. LinkedIn outreach, content and thought leadership, CRM management, and SEO plus AI search visibility run as one connected system. Our small senior team serves clients nationwide on month-to-month terms, and our average client stays more than three years. We hold a 5.0 Google rating.
The Role
LinkedIn is the primary channel where our clients get seen by the right buyers, and this role owns how well that channel performs. You will run the community side of each account: the daily commenting, engagement, and network growth that put a client in front of their ideal customers and referral partners, and you will be the person on the team who knows how LinkedIn distributes content and what moves an account’s reach.
You are not primarily a writer. Our content team creates the posts. You tell them what to make and how to make it: which formats are earning reach right now, what hooks hold attention, when to post, and what to change when a post underperforms. Your platform knowledge shapes the content, and your results prove it.
What You Will Do
- Run daily community management across a portfolio of client accounts: commenting on posts from target buyers, referral partners, and industry voices, responding to comments and messages, and starting conversations that lead somewhere
- Write comments in each client’s voice that are memorable and invite a reply, not generic praise. You will work inside our approval process: the client approves comment direction up front, then we send each comment for a quick yes or fix, with the goal that over time they sound exactly like the client
- Grow each account’s reach and following with the right people, building ICP-focused connection and follower growth rather than raw numbers
- Advise the content team on what the platform rewards: post formats, hooks, length, timing, first-hour engagement, and how to adjust when reach drops
- Optimize personal profiles and company pages so a prospect who clicks through immediately understands who the client serves and why they are credible
- Work with our outreach team so engagement warms up the people our LinkedIn outreach is contacting, and flag the conversations that are ready for a handoff
- Track what is working per account and report in business terms: reach among the target audience, profile views from ICP, connection acceptance, conversations started, and pipeline influenced. Tell us plainly when something is not working and what you will test next
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years managing and growing LinkedIn accounts for B2B companies or professional services firms, with before-and-after results you can show
- A working understanding of how LinkedIn actually distributes content: what drives reach, what suppresses it, how engagement in the first hours matters, how profile and network quality affect visibility, and how these things change over time
- Experience with comment-led growth and community engagement, and judgment about which conversations are worth joining
- Strong, concise writing in short form, enough to write a sharp comment and give clear direction to a content team
- Comfort with LinkedIn analytics and the habit of turning numbers into specific changes
- Organization that holds up across several accounts, with approvals, schedules, and follow-ups tracked and closed
- Reliable remote setup and clear written communication
Helpful, Not Required
- Sales Navigator experience and an understanding of CRM-driven outreach (we use HubSpot and GoHighLevel)
- Experience in an agency or multi-client environment
- Experience with Notion or similar project tools
- Comfort using AI tools for research and drafting while keeping the final comment accurate and human
