YOUR NEXT ROLE :  Social Media Manager – NARS

As we accelerate NARS UK’s social-first marketing and commerce capabilities, we are looking for a highly driven Social Media Manager to lead the development and execution of the UK social media strategy, with a particular focus on TikTok.

The role will grow brand awareness, engagement and community advocacy, using content, creators and social commerce to move consumers from discovery through consideration to conversion. The successful candidate will combine strong creative instincts with analytical rigour and thrive in a fast-paced, culturally driven environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Strategy & Channel Management

  • Develop and execute the NARS UK owned social media strategy and content calendar for TikTok, in alignment with Global brand priorities and local business objectives.

  • Deliver a high-volume, TikTok-first content programme that balances locally created content with the adaptation of Global assets for UK audiences.

  • Identify local trends, conversations and cultural moments that strengthen brand relevance and support the full consumer journey from discovery to conversion.

  • Support retailers, NARS Artists, creator partners and local events through relevant social activation.

  • Partner closely with Global Social and EMEA Social on content planning, weekly approvals and campaign localisation, while maintaining agility for reactive opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Media teams on boosting, Spark Ads and engagement-driving activity.

  • Ensure a consistent brand voice, visual excellence and platform-native execution across channels.

Content Planning & Production

  • Lead the briefing, planning and execution of local content creation.

  • Partner with agencies, freelancers, creators, photographers, videographers and internal stakeholders to develop social-first content.

  • Confidently create and edit platform-native content directly, including short-form video built for sound-on viewing and strong opening hooks.

  • Re-cut and adapt Global assets for TikTok rather than reposting them unchanged.

  • Create reactive content that capitalises on relevant trends, beauty conversations and cultural moments.

  • Support local events, retailer activity and key calendar moments through relevant content and execution.

  • Drive innovation in short-form video formats and emerging platform features.

Community Management

  • Own the UK community engagement strategy, tone of voice and moderation guidelines.

  • Foster meaningful conversations with consumers, artists, creators and brand advocates across comments, direct messages, mentions, stitches and duets.

  • Surface community insights and emerging consumer trends to internal stakeholders.

  • Manage the escalation of customer concerns in partnership with Customer Care.

  • Coordinate day-to-day community management support and resourcing to ensure the content and growth remit remains deliverable.

Social Commerce & LIVE

  • Own NARS UK organic social activation supporting TikTok Shop and future social retail initiatives.

  • Develop local content and creator strategies that drive product discovery, consideration and conversion.

  • Support the planning and promotion of TikTok LIVE shopping events in partnership with the TikTok Shop agency and Ecommerce team.

  • Partner with Ecommerce and Retail teams to align social commerce activity with key commercial priorities.

  • Work within a clear operating model in which the TikTok Shop agency or Ecommerce team owns Shop operations, affiliate management, LIVE production and Shop analytics.

Performance & Analytics

  • Monitor and report on channel performance, content effectiveness, engagement, audience growth, earned media value and social commerce KPIs.

  • Maintain regular reporting cadences, including monthly reporting for Global Digital, and communicate performance clearly to senior stakeholders.

  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for content and channel optimisation.

  • Track competitor activity and identify opportunities for differentiation.

  • Partner with the TikTok Shop agency on Shop reporting, including GMV, conversion, affiliate and LIVE performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, PR, Influencer, Ecommerce, CRM, Retail, Education, Media, Customer Care and Global Social teams.

  • Ensure social initiatives support broader brand and commercial objectives.

  • Act as the UK social media expert and advisor within the business.

  • Maintain clear responsibilities across the Social Media Manager, Global Social, Ecommerce and agency partners to protect focus and prevent duplication.

PROFILE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Required

  • Minimum 4-6+ years’ experience in social media, digital marketing, influencer marketing or content strategy.

  • Experience managing social channels for a beauty, fashion, luxury, lifestyle or consumer brand.

  • Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram, and current social media best practice.

  • Proven track record of developing successful social-first campaigns and confidence creating and editing content directly.

  • Experience working with creators and influencers.

  • Excellent communication, project management and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical capability and experience using social listening and reporting platforms.

  • Ability to work effectively within Global governance and approval processes while responding quickly to local trends.

Desirable

  • Experience within prestige beauty or cosmetics.
