Social Media Manager & Video Editor, Founder Content

**Full-Time | Remote | Lagos, Nigeria**

Konnetta is hiring a **Social Media Manager & Video Editor** to join our team and work closely with the company’s founder, with primary responsibility for managing and producing founder-led social media content.

This role requires someone with a strong understanding of social media and, importantly, **excellent video editing skills**. A significant part of the role will involve taking raw footage and transforming it into engaging, polished content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms.

Content will range from **travel videos and talking-head content to entrepreneurship, technology, lifestyle, behind-the-scenes, and Konnetta-related content.**

## What You’ll Be Responsible For

- Edit regular short-form and long-form video content

- Turn raw travel footage into engaging, story-driven social media videos

- Edit talking-head, founder-led, business, lifestyle, and behind-the-scenes content

- Create Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and other platform-specific content

- Manage the founder’s social media accounts and publishing schedule

- Identify strong hooks and moments from raw or longer footage

- Develop creative content ideas and concepts

- Write captions, hooks, titles, and supporting social copy

- Repurpose content effectively across different platforms

- Stay current with social media trends, editing styles, and platform changes

- Monitor content performance and use insights to improve future content

- Help maintain a consistent and recognizable founder brand

- Occasionally support Konnetta’s wider social media and marketing content when required

## What We’re Looking For

**Strong video editing skills are a major requirement for this position.**

Candidates should understand how to take raw footage and build a compelling story around it. Simply knowing how to cut clips, add transitions, or generate captions is not enough.

You should:

- Have proven experience editing high-quality social media content

- Have experience editing **travel, lifestyle, talking-head, or similar content**

- Understand storytelling, pacing, hooks, audience retention, sound design, subtitles, and visual flow

- Have experience managing social media accounts

- Understand Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube

- Be able to independently identify strong moments and creative directions from raw footage

- Have a strong creative eye and attention to detail

- Be reliable and able to maintain a consistent content schedule

- Be comfortable working directly with a founder in a fast-moving environment

- Currently reside in Lagos, Nigeria

- Be available for occasional in-person shoots or travel when required

Experience with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, After Effects, or similar tools is welcome. **The quality of your work and portfolio matters more than the software you use.**
