Role Overview

August Brook is seeking an innovative, strategic, and mission-aligned Social Media Manager to shape and elevate our digital footprint. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our online presence, crafting compelling narratives that connect with startup founders, non-profit visionaries, and community advocates.

You aren't just managing channels; you are translating our core pillars—rooted integrity, fluid digital architecture, and empowering education—into an engaging, high-impact social media strategy. The ideal candidate has a blend of creative storytelling flair, sharp graphic design sensibilities, and a data-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning: Develop, execute, and manage an overarching social media strategy across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, and emerging channels) aligned with August Brook’s strategic consulting goals.

  • Content Creation & Curation: Produce high-quality, scannable, and engaging content, including thought leadership articles, graphics, short-form video (Reels/Shorts), and carousels highlighting digital UX/UI, organizational architecture, and non-profit strategy.

  • Brand Voice & Storytelling: Maintain and evolve a cohesive brand identity that blends professional, high-tier strategic excellence with a supportive, faith-informed, and mission-driven tone.

  • Community Engagement: Actively manage and cultivate our online communities. Initiate and participate in industry conversations, respond to messages, and build deep relationships with founders and partners.

  • Analytics & Optimization: Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (engagement, growth, lead generation). Use data insights to iteratively refine content strategy and maximize ROI.

  • Campaign Management: Manage paid or organic social media campaigns to promote workshops, educational materials, and advisory services.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in social media management, content marketing, or digital strategy—ideally working with B2B services, early-stage startups, or purpose-driven non-profit sectors.

  • Portfolio: A proven track record of growing professional social channels, with portfolio examples showcasing graphic design, copy editing, or short-form video production.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with social media scheduling tools (e.g., HubSpot, Buffer, Later), design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), and native platform analytics.

  • Content Acumen: Strong familiarity or a deep interest in user experience (UX/UI) frameworks, organizational governance, or technological infrastructure.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a flawless eye for detail.

  • Culture Fit: A self-starter mentality who resonates deeply with helping visionaries turn their ideas into stable, resilient, and impactful frameworks.
